'RHOSLC' Star Mary Cosby Slams Lisa Barlow as 'Demeaning'

Mary Cosby doesn't appreciate the way she was treated by co-star Lisa Barlow on Sunday night's new episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

As Page Six shared with readers on October 24, Cosby called out Barlow during the show for her "demeaning" behavior following a group scene with their cast mates in a Hummer limo, which featured Cosby suggesting that drinking carbonated beverages "hardens your ovaries."

While that may not seem controversial to some, diehard fans of RHOSLC know that Barlow is a big Diet Coke fan.

"Mary, I need to Google that. Is that real? Is that a thing?" Barlow asked.

After Barlow questioned what she was saying, Cosby fired back at her cast mate by suggesting that her regular comments about what she's shared and whether or not it's been legitimate are out of line.

"Everything I say, you gotta Google it? Don't do that. Please don't do that to me," Cosby advised.

After Cosby and Barlow exchanged a couple of jabs in the limo, the ladies arrived to the location of their snow-tubing adventure, where Barlow attempted to make amends with her cast mate.

Mary Cosby Felt Targeted Due to Race

"What was that?" Barlow asked Cosby.

"I don't like how you speak. It's demeaning," Cosby replied. "Either you're my friend or you're not. But you don't talk to me [like that]."

Cosby went on to suggest that Barlow was attempting to "belittle" her.

"Don't talk to me like I'm beneath you because I'm not. Know that," Cosby explained.

According to Cosby, she felt Barlow was taking aim at her intelligence because she's a Black woman.

"You kept talking about Google things that I say. Why? Is it because I'm black?" she questioned her cast mate.

Mary Cosby is Triggered by Lisa Barlow

In response to Cosby's suggestion that Barlow's comments were racist digs, Barlow shaded her claims as "ridiculous."

"If you come at me again like that, then we're going to have another conversation because it's not OK. It's one-sided," Barlow stated.

While chatting with the cameras during a Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast confessional earlier in the episode, Cosby said she was triggered by Barlow's questions about her knowledge.

"Well, how about we Google what she says? 'Cause most of the time she's lying," Cosby told the cameras. "Oh, did I just say that?"

Putting Their Differences Aside

As the episode continued, Barlow and Cosby agreed to put their differences aside and noted that they were "good."

Unfortunately, judging by a sneak peek at next week's episode, it seems that the ladies are no longer good as the spotlight moves to Cosby's controversial church, which some have suggested is run similar to that of a "cult."

Thylane Blondeau, the world's "most beautiful" girl, just keeps on proving why she's been carrying around her famous nickname since childhood. The 20-year-old French model, fresh from a candid reveal over a painful ovarian cyst surgery reveal, has been sharing new photos from her recent appearance for Italian brand Miu Miu, but it wasn't just clothing Blondeau shared to Instagram.

Posting with her trusty Starbucks, the Aix-en-Provence native shouted out her favorite beverage chain, and the pics are going down a storm with fans.

Fashion, But Make It Starbucks

Revealing Ovarian Cyst Surgery

Blondeau made headlines just last week for bravely revealing she'd undergone surgery for a painful ovarian cyst, one taking her to the E.R. after doctors made it sound like no big deal.

"This year I saw three different gynecologists, I've seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and all of them said the same thing, "don't worry U have nothing it's all in your head," the Cacharel face told her followers.

"4 days ago I went to the emergencies because my belly was hurting so Much I couldn't handle it anymore and they said that everything was fine," she continued.

Sharing Post-Surgery Photos

Posting a gallery of selfies from the hospital, including goofy gown snaps and a photo of her post-op scar, the model said shed found a surgeon who finally took her seriously.

"The day after this I had this appointment with an amazing doctor ( O. Kadoch ) who directly saw that I had a kyste of 5,6 cm who was touching my ovary so he sent me to do an IRM and an hour after this , the doctor called me and ask me to go straight to the hospital to do an emergency operation," she detailed. All went well, and fans are sending the thumbs-up for the honest reveal.

Ryan Gosling is known as one of the most attractive men in Hollywood and soon, he will reportedly be taking on the iconic role of one of the most, if not the most, Mattel dolls of all time: Ken.

According to an October 22 report from Deadline, Warner Bros. and director Greta Gerwig have allegedly enlisted Gosling and actress Margot Robbie to act as Ken and Barbie in their upcoming film, Barbie.

Although the outlet reports that the actor is in the final negotiation stages, an official announcement has not yet been made.

Ryan Gosling Initially Turned Down the 'Barbie' Role

Deadline went on to reveal that the 40-year-old actor actually turned down the role in the Barbie film when he was initially approached because his schedule didn't allow for it at the time. However, after filming on the production was delayed, he was able to give the idea of playing Ken in the upcoming film.

While an official confirmation of Gosling's involvement has not yet been seen, Us Weekly revealed that social media is already in a frenzy about the potential casting.

After posting four TD passes, Brady became the first player in NFL history with 600 career touchdown passes.

Brady headed into their game against the Bears with 598 touchdown passes. Some people thought that the Bears would exert strong effort to prevent Brady from earning his 600th touchdown pass in their game, but the opposite happened on Sunday night. Becoming the first NFL player to get 600 touchdown passes is undeniably a huge achievement for Brady. However, it wasn't the only historical record he made against the Bears. After their game against the Bears, Brady became the third player with at least 200 completions and 20 touchdown passes in his team's first seven games of a season in NFL history. After learning what happened, a Buccaneers official immediately headed to the fan's location and negotiated to get it back.

Luckily for Brady, the fan agreed to make a deal in exchange for the ball.

"I was hesitant to give it back," the fan said, as quoted by Joey Knight of Tampa Bay Times via Twitter. "I knew how much it meant to Tom and I was willing to trade."

Democrats Seek to Finalize Unrealized Capital Gains Tax on President Biden’s $2T Spending Plan

It's an ambitious spending package that keeps getting smaller, as President Biden with senior Democrats work to finalize the details on how to pay for it. The latest proposal is an annual tax on unrealized capital gains reports the New York Post.

Some are calling it a wealth tax, but Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen isn't. It's a tax on paper profits on liquid assets held by America's wealthiest, and one that would impact fewer than 1,000 Americans.

Janet Yellen told CNN, "I wouldn't call that a wealth tax, but it would help get at capital gains, which are an extraordinarily large part of the income of the wealthiest individuals and right now escape taxation until they are realized."

Will the Tax Bill Reach 2 Trillion?

The spending bill has been pared down from its original $3.5T goals. The number $2T is the number that is most closely associated with it today, however even that could change. It's not likely the bill will be $2 T if Senator Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Sinema (D-AZ) get their way. Senator Manchin has already sought to whittle it down to a range between $1.9 T and $2.5 T. He's also said if it reached $1.75T he will sign off.

The bill is considered among the largest packages of tax hikes in decades, with a spending plan from those hikes that largely focuses on children, families, and health care.

The Spending Plan

The spending plan is expected to be a 10-year-spending bill, with children and families coming first. If passed, it will help to establish a universal Pre-K, and will expand the child tax credit. The plan also includes initiatives to make child care more affordable.

Paid family and medical leave programs are also included in the spending package. An expansion on Medicare benefits is expected, with the hopes that vision, dental, and hearing benefits will be added. All three of those initiatives are not expected to pass, but vision and hearing might.

An emphasis on children nutrition programs is also in the bill.

What is Getting Cut

Cuts are always on the table as the bill keeps getting smaller. The child tax credit duration will be cut from four years to one as it stands now.

President Biden's climate change plan is also on tenuous ground, particularly the initiative to subsidize utility companies for cleaner energy sources. Democrats are still looking for an alternative here, however production tax credits on nuclear power and more credits for carbon sequestration are back on the table. Final issues were still being discussed as early as yesterday at President Biden's Delaware home.

Corporate Minimum Taxes

Yesterday, with Senator Manchin (D-WV) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) met with President Biden to iron out some details. The New York Post reported that the White House called it a productive discussion. Decisions from there have not been announced. A key issue with the bill includes a 15 percent corporate minimum tax. With this President Biden will require companies to pay what he has referred to as their "fair share." In addition to unrealized gains taxes, corporations are expected to pay significantly to cover the ambitious spending bill.

Facebook Accused of Bias for Suppressing Conservative News Outlets

Social media giant Facebook is making headlines daily now, with one recent accusation centering around an old argument of conservative bias on Facebook reports the New York Post. Facebook is being accused of suppressing conservative news outlets and expressing bias against them. Particularly, the right-wing outlet Breitbart News is undergoing some problems on Facebook.

Employees of Facebook have been working to remove Breitbart News from the News Tab since last year. At this time, other conservative news outlets are not expressing similar concerns.

Breitbart a Primary Focus

One Facebook employee indicated to the New York Post that this move was due to lack of trust in Breitbart, something that they said was also happening with CNN two years ago. The staffer appeared to be implying that there was no conservative bias, and that the issues had been in play for some time.

By 2020, Facebook had third-party fact-checkers employed to monitor the amount of strikes against false content. The stipulation there was strictly false content. One report indicates that the complaints tended to lean towards more often against conservative outlets.

Facebook Braces for More Bad News

It may be the case that Facebook is downplaying the accusation of conservative bias, given the myriad of headlines including the word "safety" this week, and in previous months. Axios has obtained a memo written by Facebook Global Affairs Vice President Nick Clegg saying, "we need to steel ourselves for more bad headlines in the coming days, I'm afraid."

It continued, "But above all, we should keep our heads held high and do the work we came here to do." Clegg noted Facebook's $13 billion dollar investment and 40,000 employees, saying the "one job" was to "keep people safe on Facebook."

Keeping People Safe on Facebook

Facebook's safety concerns are connected to the leaked material by former Facebook integrity team employee Frances Haugen shared with the media. An attempted embargo on that information has failed, and the company may be expecting more information on that to come to light.

The embargo failed when a new whistleblower told the Securities and Exchange Commission that Facebook was repeatedly dismissing concerns about hate speech and misinformation.

It is not so inconceivable under this light to see some merit to the claim that Facebook could express bias towards any news outlet, conservative or otherwise. Facebook rejects it, with Facebook communications official Tucker Bounds calling hate speech claims a "flash in the pan" and suggested legislators will get snarky over this. That's already happened with Facebook over separate issues. Bounds may be predicting it could happen again.

History Might Be Repeating

In October 2020, multiple social media giants including Twitter's Jack Dorsey, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, and Alphabet's Sundar Pichai testified for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation about how they moderate content.

That hearing was described as a "circus" by NBC News who said that Senator Ted Cruz promoted it "like boxing match." The complaint was the same, that Republicans were being stifled and specific posts were being suppressed. The data didn't match that. Media Matters conducted "study after study" that indicated conservative content was performing better than liberal content consistently.

In October 2020, the top-performing posts were owned by Donald Trump, Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro, and conservative news reporter Dan Bongino. Areas where conservatives alleged censorship indicated that these areas were actually examples of social media rules violations, and weren't censorship at all.

NBA Rumors: Kyrie Irving To LA Lakers, Russell Westbrook To Nets In Crazy Blockbuster Trade Idea

Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has been the subject of various trade speculations since the 2021 NBA offseason. The rumors surrounding him heated up when he refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19. With the team not letting him play until he becomes a "full participant," there's a growing belief around the league that Irving could part ways with the Nets before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Though the Nets are yet to officially make him available on the trading block, Irving has already begun to be linked to several title contenders in the league.

Kyrie Irving To LA Lakers

One of the most intriguing landing spots for Irving before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers may have only acquired Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards this summer, but their first two games in the 2021-22 NBA season showed that he's a bad fit alongside their main men, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

If they want to have a better chance of fully dominating the Western Conference and reclaiming their throne this year, Lee Tran of Fadeaway World believes that the Lakers should strongly consider swapping Westbrook for Irving.

Kyrie Irving Reunites With LeBron James

With Westbrook's struggle to make himself fit in Los Angeles, replacing him with Irving would make a lot of sense for the Purple and Gold. Irving may also be a ball-dominant superstar, but he perfectly knows how to excel with James on the court. Irving and James have played together on the Cleveland Cavaliers for three years before "Uncle Drew" demanded a trade in the summer of 2017.

During their time together in Cleveland, they made three consecutive trips to the NBA Finals and won an NBA championship title in 2016.

Lakers Get An Elite Three-Point Shooting PG

Irving would undeniably be an upgrade over Westbrook at the Lakers' starting point guard position. Aside from his familiarity with James' game and championship experience, Irving is also a better three-point shooter than Westbrook. Last season, the 29-year-old point guard averaged 26.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from beyond the arc, per ESPN.

Having a third star who's a legitimate threat from the three-point range would make it easier for James and Davis to penetrate the basket or kick the ball out when they are trapped by the opposing team's defense.

Russell Westbrook Reconnects With Former OKC Thunder Teammates

Meanwhile, the proposed blockbuster trade idea would allow Westbrook to reconnect with former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates James Harden and Kevin Durant.

"The Westbrook-Harden-Durant trio got to the NBA Finals during the 2011-2012 season," Tran wrote. "More recently, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were 1 win away from the NBA Finals during the 2016 season. The trio could reunite to try and finish the job, and it would certainly be a fairy tale ending to see Durant, Westbrook, and Harden win a title together."

Having a no-trade clause in his contract, the disgruntled quarterback has the power to control his next destination where the Miami Dolphins are frequently mentioned as his top favorite landing spot.

Deshaun Watson Open Doors To Other Options

However, recent reports revealed that Watson doesn't only have his eyes on the Dolphins. According to an NFL source who spoke to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Watson would also consider non-Miami options before the November 2 NFL trade deadline.

"Multiple teams are interested in Watson, and although his interest in joining the Dolphins has become a worst-kept secret of sorts in league circles, the source disputed the notion that it's simply Miami or bust," Fowler wrote. "Watson will consider potential options as they come, according to the source."

Other Deshaun Watson's Preferred Landing Spot

Aside from the Dolphins, Fowler revealed two other teams that Watson may consider waiving his no-trade clause. These include the Carolina Panthers. According to their source, the Panthers have started evaluating their pursuit for a franchise quarterback after they suffered an embarrassing 25-3 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday night.

The Panthers were reportedly a "serious suitor" of Watson since the 2021 NFL offseason before multiple civil lawsuits were filed against him. However, during that time, Texans general manager Nick Caserio had no interest in entertaining offers for the disgruntled quarterback.

Deshaun Watson To Denver Broncos

Per Fowler, the second new preferred landing spot of Watson before the November 2 NFL trade deadline is the Denver Broncos.

"The Broncos also have been considered a wild-card contender for Watson, but Denver hasn't made a major move at this point, according to sources," Fowler wrote.

After an impressive start, the Broncos are currently struggling in the 2021 NFL season, losing their last four games. If they want to return to the winning column and become a more competitive team this season, trading for Watson would make a lot of sense. Despite the controversy that he's currently involved in, Watson is still an upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock at Denver's starting quarterback position.

'Stumbling Block' Of Deshaun Watson Trade

Though the Panthers and the Broncos are added to his list of preferred landing spots before the November 2 NFL trade deadline, there's still a huge possibility that Watson would remain a Texan for the remainder of the 2021 NFL season. According to Ethan Sears of New York Post, one potential "stumbling block" of a Watson trade is whether he would be allowed to play this season.

With the legal issues that he's involved in, the NFL has the ability to put him on the commissioner's exempt list. As of now, teams must be waiting for the outcome of Watson's legal battle before they consider making a serious move.
