The rocker also said that Sharon told him Osbourne "saw a little bit of himself in me"

Yungblud is holding on to every memory he has with the late Ozzy Osbourne.
During an appearance on Steve-O's Wild Ride! podcast on Thursday, Sept. 4, the "Abyss" rocker shared a valuable piece of advice the Black Sabbath frontman gave him before he died.
"The most beautiful thing he ever said to me was, 'Never compromise. They'll get it later,'" Yungblud, 28, said.
Though it seemed like a "passive statement" at first, Yungblud said he sat with it for a while.
"A lot of people always had an issue with my energy," he said. "People would think I'm too nuts. I think when someone's crazy... people find it hard to believe that I'm actually like this all of the f---ing time."
Adding, "After kicking it with Sharon [Osbourne], she said he saw a little bit of himself in me. Not because we make the same music. Just, because we're f---ing a bit nuts. We're f---ing crazy. And then ever since we became really close."
Yungblud also reflected on developing a friendship with his idol, who died at age 76 on July 22.
"When you've loved someone your whole life and then you get to know them and they are, I don't know, pure and beautiful and exactly what you wanted but even more, it's f---ing cool," he said.

Yungblud performs at the MTV VMAs in Elmont, New York on Sept. 7, 2025
Yungblud's appearance on the podcast happened days before his tribute performance for Osbourne at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, Sept. 7. During the show, he took the stage with Nuno Bettencourt and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith to perform a medley of Osbourne's hits.
After the performance, the group shared a sweet embrace and Yungblud yelled out, "Ozzy forever man!"
Yungblud also performed at Osbourne's final concert with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. In a tribute post following his death, Yungblud said he gave Osbourne a custom necklace before the final show and vowed to play Black Sabbath's "Changes" each night "for the rest of my life."
In 2022, Osbourne and his wife Sharon appeared in Yungblud's "The Funeral" music video.
