Stella Parton, country superstar Dolly Parton's younger sister, is calling on her famous sibling's fans and followers to stop the madness.
Amid a flurry of worry over the "9 to 5" singer's health, following her postponement of a series of Las Vegas concert dates and the pair's other sister Freida asking fans to pray for Dolly's well-being, Stella stated that public concern has begun to mutate into something darker.
"To those with genuine concern for my big sister Dolly's well being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans that she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment. My sister Freida is always concerned when one of her siblings isn't feeling well so she ask for prayers on Dolly's behalf," she explained in a Wednesday X post, adding that it's her "job as a sister" to love both Dolly and Freida and, importantly, to "respect their privacy."
She then issued a clear directive: "To those of you who make it your job to attack me for not being your personal information center, you need to go check their pages!"**
Stella explained that while "most fans are genuinely concerned," others "are way out of line with disregard for my feelings concerning their wellbeing."****She concluded, "My big sister will share with her fans when she so chooses in the meantime don't come at me with questions or insults."**

Stella Parton, 76, is three years her superstar sister's junior, and eight years Freida's senior. The trio share an additional nine siblings — Willadeene, David, Coy, Robert Jr., Cassie, Randy, Larry, Rachel, and Floyd, Freida's twin brother.
Randy, Larry, David, and Floyd have all passed away, and the rest of the Parton clan have faced their share of health battles. But Dolly took to social media the same day as Stella to assure fans that reports of her ill-health have been greatly overstated.****

"I wanted to say I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard here," Dolly stated in a video shared on Wednesday to her nearly eight million Instagram followers.
"I wanted to put everybody's mind at ease, those of you that seemed to be real concerned, which I appreciate and I appreciate your prayers 'cause I'm a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I want you to know that I'm okay," she stated.**
Fan concern for Dolly has been abundant this year in the wake of the death of Carl Dean, Parton's husband of nearly 60 years. "Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years," Parton shared in a statement at the time. "Thank you for your prayers and sympathy."
