*Saturday Night Live*'s impressionist extraordinaire Chloe Fineman is addressing the "sadness" of the recent cast shakeups ahead of the show's season 51 premiere.

Speaking with *Extra TV* at the Michael Kors show for New York Fashion Week, the actress and comedian, 37, was asked about how she felt about all of the recent cast changes on the show, including the departure of favorites such as Heidi Gardner.

"Pretty wild," Fineman said of the changes. "Some shocking stuff. A little heartbreak, sadness. I haven't fully processed anything, but I will say the show has such a turnover."**

"I'm going into my seventh year," added Fineman, who joined the venerable sketch comedy show in 2019 as a featured player before she was promoted to repertory player in 2021. "I've like, done it. You always experience [turnover], but these people stay in your lives."

Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and John Higgins (the latter of the comedy trio Please Don't Destroy) will not be returning for season 51 next month, while Please Don't Destroy's Ben Marshall has been upped to a feature player.**

Fineman told *Extra* she was "excited for the new people."

"It's so many people," she said, quipping, "When I saw how young the new cast is I immediately got a laser. I felt like I was in *Death Becomes Her.* I was like, 'Oh my God.'"

Jokes aside, Fineman is ready to get back at it, sharing some of the impressions she's excited to dive into it once the show returns on Oct. 4.

"Everyone's like, 'Do the mom with a thousand texts on Netflix,'" Fineman said, referencing the controversial Kendra Licari in the streamer's hit true crime docuseries *Unknown Number: The High School Catfish.*

"And I'm sure I'll do that but by the time we go back in like a month, what's relevant right now will completely change," Fineman noted. "But I'm excited for some of those political people."

When* Extra *noted that the "world out there" wants Fineman to imitate Melania Trump, the funnywoman dove into the impression and said in her best FLOTUS, "And so do I. This outfit is very much giving Melania."
