Candiace Dillard Bassett is launching a new podcast, Undomesticated, with author and culture critic Michael Arceneaux, debuting Oct. 1

The Real Housewives of Potomac star, 38, and Arceneaux, 41, will tackle pop culture headlines, viral internet moments, music and more with unfiltered honesty

Produced by Audacy, the show features an original theme song by Dillard Bassett and new episodes will drop every Wednesday on YouTube and podcast platforms

She's a new mom, and now Candiace Dillard Bassett is giving birth to another project: a podcast.

PEOPLE can exclusively announce the singer and reality star — best known for her turn on The Real Housewives of Potomac — has teamed up with New York Times bestselling author and culture critic Michael Arceneaux for Undomesticated, a weekly audio and video podcast set to launch Oct. 1.

Each week, Dillard Bassett, 38, and Arceneaux, 41, will dive into the buzziest headlines and viral pop culture moments of the week, all through their signature mix of wit, insight and unfiltered honesty. Expect topics to span the worlds of pop culture, entertainment, reality TV, music and internet culture.

"On Undomesticated, we invite listeners to pull up a chair at our virtual kitchen table as we laugh, unpack the headlines, and dive into the pop culture moments shaping the week," the duo say in a joint statement. "Yes, we're talking reality TV twists and viral internet chaos, but we're also getting into the real stuff, too. From the light to the layered, nothing's off-limits."

The podcast is produced by Audacy in partnership with Agenda Management & Production.

To make the show even more personal, Dillard Bassett recorded an original theme song for the series. It will be available for download and streaming on all major platforms starting Oct. 1

For Dillard Bassett, the new venture comes during a milestone-filled year. Last October, the reality star and her husband, Chris Bassett, welcomed their first child together — son Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett.

Becoming a mother, she says, has only expanded her perspective — something she's excited to bring to the mic. "Motherhood has changed everything," she tells PEOPLE. "It's made me even more intentional about how I spend my time, and Undomesticated felt like the perfect space to share my voice in a whole new way."

Of course, Dillard Bassett is no stranger to juggling projects. A former Obama White House staffer and Miss United States 2013, she rose to fame on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Potomac, where her quick wit and memorable one-liners made her a breakout star. Along the way, she's built a multifaceted career as a singer and actress, releasing two R&B projects (including the Billboard-charting Deep Space) and starring in films for BET and Netflix.

And she's not slowing down: Dillard Bassett will appear in the upcoming fourth season of Peacock's hit competition series The Traitors, expected in 2026.
