Chloe Trujillo, the wife of longtime Metallica bass player Robert Trujillo, is making her own music.
The singer has released the hard-rocking song and video "As the Sky Is Falling Down" as a single. That track will also be featured on her EP, Rebirth, set for an early 2026 release.

The Paris-born, Los Angeles-based singer joined forces with Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films to create the video, which she said in a statement captures the "spiritual transformation through chaos. Only through the fall of material illusion can one see the deeper truths. Life still thrives if we let it be free, the beauty of the endless ocean, the giant cliffs, the fresh breeze vs the world of broken screens and the destroyed environment."
Chloe Trujillo's Background
Chloe and Robert became friends in 1990 and married in 2004. Their son, Tye, is also a bass player in the band OTTTO as well as Suicidal Tendencies, the veteran punk band that featured his father before he left to join Ozzy Osbourne's band and later Metallica.
Also known as a visual artist and designer, it remains to be seen if music fans will accept Chloe Trujillo as a musician, as history has proven that fans can be skeptical of famous wives who embark and careers in music.
Yoko Ono and Linda McCartney: The Most Famous Musician Rock Wives
Among the most famous rock wives are Yoko Ono Lennon and the late Linda McCartney, the wives of former Beatles the late John Lennon and Paul McCartney, respectively.
Yoko Ono is often unjustly maligned by fans who blame her for breaking up the Beatles, a false narrative that Paul McCartney corrected during a 2012 interview with British TV personality David Frost. Ono "certainly didn't break up the group," McCartney said, "the group was breaking up."
Aside from her music with Lennon, including the chart-topping album Double Fantasy, Ono's solo work was also highly influential. Several different acts, ranging from the B-52's to Sonic Youth have cited her as an influence.
Linda McCartney was one of husband Paul's first musical collaborators outside of the Beatles on the 1971 album Ram, and was a key member of Wings, McCartney's 1970s band with whom he recorded his biggest post-Beatles hits.
Linda McCartney, who died in 1998 at the age of 56 from cancer, was also a target from haters who passed around live tapes of her isolated backing vocals to "Hey Jude" recorded during a 1990 Paul McCartney show from Knebworth, England. Yet, she had already proven herself as a co-writer and keyboardist in Wings, and as lead vocalist on the song "Cook of the House," on the 1976 chart-topping album Wings at the Speed of Sound.
While Robert Trujillo isn't as well known as McCartney or Lennon, he has served as the bass player for Metallica since 2003, during the band's most commercially successful run, following Jason Newsted, who left the band in 2001. (Newsted replaced Cliff Burton, who was killed in 1986 when the band's tour bus crashed.)
