Love Con Revenge premiered on Netflix on Friday, Sept. 5
The docuseries exposes the dark tactics scammers use to exploit romantic relationships for personal gain.
Some of the scammers are facing justice, while others continue to walk free.
Following the success of Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, Netflix continues its streak of true-crime hits with the docuseries Love Con Revenge.
This latest project dives deep into the world of romance scams, revealing how fraudsters prey on the vulnerable, manipulate trust, and exploit romance to steal fortunes.
At the center of the docuseries is Cecilie Fjellhøy, who was featured in another Netflix documentary, The Tinder Swindler. Catfish-style, Cecilie works with a private investigator, Brianne Joseph, to help uncover elaborate cons, support victims, and hold serial scammers accountable.
With all episodes of Love Con Revenge now streaming, here's a look at where the scammers — and the victims — are now.

Jill Schardein and Todd Dean
Netflix
Jill Schardein in episode 1 of 'Love Con Revenge'
In Nashville, Jill Schardein met Todd Dean (later dubbed the "Selfie Scammer") on Facebook Dating. She fell in love as he flooded her with a deluge of daily selfies and video messages.
Over time, Todd convinced Jill to invest her life savings into his wellness startup, Sanjara. And she wasn't the only one. A disturbing pattern emerged: Todd was preying on vulnerable women and convincing them to loan him large sums of money under false pretenses.
Former assistants and other victims of Todd's allege that Sanjara was a scam, and that Todd was taking tens of thousands of dollars a month from various women. At least eight women have come forward accusing him of fraud.
Todd denied all wrongdoing, but evidence mounted. Eventually, Jill and several other women took him to court. According to Nashville's WSMV, a court declared that Todd owed Jill $30,727.50.
Todd filed for bankruptcy in December 2023. During his bankruptcy hearing, he admitted to having no job or income, saying that he lived off of loans from both creditors and the various women in his life.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he now credits himself as the CEO of Todd Dean & Co., a "global, full-service business advisory firm" that "focuses on the needs of mid-market and enterprise growth businesses."

Bridget Phillips and Ricky Morrisey
Netflix
Bridget Phillips in episode 2 of 'Love Con Revenge'
In Providence, R.I., Bridget Phillips met Ricky Morrisey on Facebook Dating and was quickly swept off her feet. He claimed to be a military veteran with PTSD, sharing a tragic story about his supposed best friend, Clarence, who died saving his life in war.
Bridget supported him emotionally and financially, even giving him $10,000 to give to Clarence's kids, who, as it turns out, never existed.
Nearly two years after they met, Bridget discovered over $13,000 missing from her account. CCTV footage confirmed that Ricky was stealing from her. After being confronted, he disappeared. Investigations conducted by Cecilie and Brianne revealed that Ricky had lied about nearly everything, including his relationship with Clarence.
Eventually, Bridget reported Ricky to police, leading to fraud and larceny charges. He initially didn't show up to court and went on the run, but was eventually tracked down in Orlando and extradited back to Rhode Island.
On episode 3 of Love Con, it's revealed that Ricky was found guilty of three felony charges of fraud and larceny. On Sept. 5, 2025, he was sentenced to three years in prison, per Rhode Island court records.
Bridget, meanwhile, found love with Spencer Salvas, a "wonderful" man who's the "complete opposite of Ricky." The couple has since moved to Connecticut and welcomed a daughter.

Shareza Jackson and Her Former Classmate
Netflix
Shareza Jackson in episode 3 of 'Love Con Revenge'
Florida resident Shareza Jackson reconnected with a man from high school who claimed to be a successful medical doctor. The two eventually got married, and Shareza helped him start a cosmetic surgery business called Best U Now.
Throughout their relationship, he took out massive loans, one of which was for $500,000. He even bought them an $800,000 home, all under the promise of building a future together.
But the classmate wasn't who he claimed to be. Shareza eventually discovered that he wasn't a licensed doctor, and Best U Now collapsed amid staff walkouts and even a patient death.
When Shareza stopped financing him, he allegedly turned hostile, filing a civil lawsuit and multiple police reports against her. She says she later learned he'd taken accounts in one of her daughter's names, racking up $80,000 in debt.
After divorcing him in 2023, Shareza filed a civil suit claiming he had conned her out of at least $1 million, per the Daily Mail.
An intertitle in episode 4 reveals that both parties have since dropped their civil lawsuits.

Brianne and Cecilie tracked him to Georgia State University, where he now works as a math professor.

Aaron Ward and Sabrina Taylor
Netflix
Aaron Ward in episode 4 of 'Love Con Revenge'
In Seattle, Sabrina Taylor was arrested for orchestrating a multi-year fraud scheme within the comic and anime convention scene, stealing more than $600,000 from acquaintances. One of her victims was her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Ward, who only realized she had took $100,000 from him after her arrest.
Naive in love and eager to support her, Aaron believed Sabrina's claims that she had multiple sclerosis (the same illness that took his grandfather) and paid for her living expenses, medical care, and more with his own money, as well as loans from friends and family.
Eventually, Aaron broke up with her. Some time later, he learned Sabrina never had multiple sclerosis and had faked medical documents as part of her elaborate con.
She pleaded guilty to wire fraud in July 2022 and was later sentenced to 27 months in prison. Aaron wasn't included in the official list of victims eligible for restitution due to statute of limitations rules.
Since being released from prison, Sabrina has kept a relatively low profile, but she is active on Instagram again.
Despite never getting his money back, Aaron says on Love Con Revenge that his life has drastically improved, noting that he has a new partner and a better group of friends. His LinkedIn profile reveals that he currently works as a senior software engineer for Insight Global, a position he's held since July 2023.

Lindsay Kresmery and Christopher Lloyd
Netflix
Lindsay Kresmery in episode 5 of 'Love Con Revenge'
Lindsay Kresmery met Christopher Lloyd on Tinder. She says he claimed to be a former MLB player turned investment broker. Their slow-burn romance felt genuine, until he convinced her to invest her late mother's 401(k).
Promising big returns and a future together, Lindsay wired him the $140,000 directly. But after one $20,000 check, the payments stopped, and so did the relationship. Chris allegedly vanished, and Lindsay was left emotionally and financially devastated.
She wasn't alone, though. Cecilie and Brianne tracked down multiple women across the country with similar stories, including Lauren Plaxco from Arizona, who lost over $50,000 and claims she had a restraining order against Chris.

Former teammates also denied his MLB past, and civil suits revealed Chris was linked to a shell company, Landmark Associates. The documentary claims that in just one year, Chris allegedly received more than $300,000 from women he met through dating apps.
As of now, Lindsay says she's finally ready to put all of this behind her and move on. She continues to work at her San Diego salon, Jax & King. Per her recent Instagram Stories, she is an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention (something she struggled with following the scam).
At the end of the final episode, an intertitle reads, "After this episode was filmed, Christopher Lloyd was arrested on a 14-count federal indictment that he used dating apps and websites to con victims of his romance scams out of more than $2 million. If convicted, Lloyd would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison for each of the 13 wired fraud counts, and up to 10 years in prison for the monetary transaction count. He denies the allegations against him."
