The NFL is heading into its influencer era.
Week 1 continues on Friday night as the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers head to Brazil to battle in the league's second annual Sao Paulo game – but it comes with a twist.
The game will be streamed on YouTube.
That's right. Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert are set to lead their teams into the season on a platform that also boasts travel vlogs, recipe tutorials and hilarious meme material.
It's a continuation of the NFL's expansion into new media. They've already taken advantage of streaming platforms with games on Peacock, Prime Video, Netflix, ESPN+ and more – but those games almost always came with a price.
On Friday night, you can throw aside your cable package or streaming service and catch this Week 1 contest for free. Just don't be surprised if, in typical YouTube fashion, someone doesn't ask you, jokingly, to like and subscribe – or to be sure to hit the notification bell so you never miss a video.
Turns out, we really are entering a brand new media world. Here's how you can watch the NFL Brazil game.
Where to watch Chargers vs. Chiefs -

Rich Eisen will handle the play-by-play and Kurt Warner will join him in the booth to provide analysis. Stacy Dales reports from the sidelines in a traditional sense, while YouTube highlights its creators by installing Donald "Deestroying" De La Haye in the same role.
