Charlie Sheen is an open book when it comes to his regrets in life.
The Two and a Half Men actor, 60, sat down for a conversation with actor and author David Duchovny at the 92NY in New York City on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to discuss his new memoir, The Book of Sheen.
During the conversation, the actor revealed that one of his biggest regrets in life is his many tattoos, even boldly saying that "HIV is easier to deal with than f------ tattoos."

"It isn't the one that I'm supposed to say. F------- tattoos. Sorry. No, I mean, no s---. Can't take a pill and make your f------ tattoos disappear," he told Duchovny. "No, that's such a bad, terrible, stupid decision. They could have been like little stick figures and really small and like, maybe like down here ... they're just f------ everywhere."

The actor — who hasn't been inked in "over a decade" or since becoming sober — later sat down with Entertainment Tonight and reflected on his comments during his chat with Duchovny, saying, "I probably pissed a few people off when I said that and when I put that at the top of the list, but what I followed that up with is true. No, you can't just wish them away."
Of the many tattoos that Sheen has, some notable ones are Charlie Brown, which rests on his right pectoral muscle, the Cincinnati Reds logo, his catchphrase "Winning" on his wrist in bold letters, a "back in 15 minutes" sign on his left pectoral muscle, a flaming baseball on his right bicep and a banner that says "death from above" — a nod to the Francis Ford Coppola film, Apocalypse Now, which stars his father, Martin Sheen.

Sheen admitted that he was "sneaky" with his tattoos and used them to hide scars caused by his drug use.
"I know there's ways to get rid of them, but it's a lengthy process that is a commitment to such tedious pain," he added. "I was trying to be sneaky, but I said at one point in the book that I'm gonna permanently need longer sleeves or get a bigger tattoo. I thought it was a cool attempt, at least, of camouflage."
