<p>The Kelly Clarkson Show will return for season 7 this fall, PEOPLE can confirm</p>
<p>Season 6 of the NBC daytime show concluded in June, and Clarkson went on to begin a Las Vegas residency, which she had to postpone on Aug. 6 due to her ex-husband's illness</p>
<p>On Aug. 7, her ex Brandon Blackstock died at age 48</p>
<p>Kelly Clarkson will be back on TV despite the recent loss in her life.</p>
<p>The Kelly Clarkson Show will return for season 7 in the fall, PEOPLE can confirm. Season 6 concluded in June.</p>
<p>The show's return will come weeks after Clarkson's ex-husband, talent manager Brandon Blackstock, died on Aug. 7 after a private journey with cancer. He was 48.</p>
<p>"It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away," a rep for the family told PEOPLE in a statement. "Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time."</p>
<p>Clarkson has spent the summer performing in Las Vegas for her latest residency amid her break from the talk show.</p>
<p>After season 6 ended in June, she kicked off her residency on July 11.</p>
<p>A week earlier, she had to postpone her first two shows at the last minute after she said "prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice" in a post on Instagram.</p>

<p>Clarkson had to postpone more performances earlier this week to be there for her kids amid Blackstock's illness.</p>
<p>On Aug. 6, she revealed on Instagram that she had to "postpone the remainder of the August" shows to be "fully present" for their kids, River, 11, and Remington, 9.</p>
<p>"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill," she revealed in the post. "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding."</p>
<p>She also took a leave of absence during the most recent season of her show due to Blackstock's illness.</p>
<p>Clarkson, 43, missed a slew of shows at the beginning of March for a then-unexplained reason, and had celebrities including Brooke Shields, Wanda Sykes and Josh Groban step in as guest hosts.</p>
<p>Multiple sources have told PEOPLE that her absences in March were due largely in part to Blackstock's illness.</p>
<p>The talent manager was diagnosed with cancer after he and Clarkson divorced in 2020, another source told PEOPLE.</p>
<p>After season 6 of the show ended, a source told PEOPLE that Clarkson might be interested in a "shift" after her contract is up next year.</p>
<p>"Her talk show gives her stability and time with her kids," the source said.</p>

<p>It's a "demanding" job, though, as the source added: "She's thinking that she might need a shift next year when her contract is up."</p>
<p>"She still has time to figure out what's best for her career and family. She was never one to rush into things," the source noted.</p>
<p>Since Clarkson's announcement about postponing her Vegas residency, new dates have been released.</p>
<p>According to Ticketmaster, the shows have been postponed to July and August 2026. They will still take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.</p>
<p>However, her NBC interview and music series, Songs and Stories with Kelly Clarkson, will begin airing as planned on Aug. 19.</p>
<p>Given her current revised concert schedule, production on The Voice is also not expected to be impacted.</p>
