On Thursday, Aug. 21, the singer participated in a viral TikTok challenge, but she quickly faced a flood of comments from users commenting on her weight loss.
Trainor, 31, posted a video for the Nicki Minaj Challenge, which features someone wearing stilettos and balancing on various objects with one foot. In the "Mother" singer's video, she's seen in a weight room in her athleisure while wearing a pair of sneakers. While she's not wearing stilettos, she did make sure she was balancing on the tip of her toes.
But after she uploaded the video, TikTok users commented on her appearance. One user wrote, "I didn't even recognize her..?," with others echoing the sentiments.

However, the singer responded with a cheeky video on Friday, Aug. 22. She was lip-syncing to an audio of Megan Thee Stallion saying, "I don't care if these bitches don't like me. 'Cuz like I'm pretty as f---. Just the other day, I heard a hoe say, matter of fact what could a hoe say with a face like this and bitch this paid."

Some users kept sharing similar comments about her weight loss and use of GLP-1 injectable tirzepatide. The drug, known by its brand name Mounjaro, is used to treat Type 2 diabetes, but is also highly effective for weight loss by reducing appetite and improving how the body breaks down sugar and fat.
One user wrote, "GLP-1 in the house!!" Another added, "This makes me so sad 🙁. I miss the bass."

The recent TikTok videos come after Trainor opened up about her weight loss journey. In March, she faced criticism and concern about her weight loss and revealed in an Instagram post that she decided to take Mounjaro.
Later that month, at Billboard's 2025 Women in Music Awards, she shared that she began taking Mounjaro after welcoming her second child with her husband, actor Daryl Sabara. Adding that she has worked with a dietician, made lifestyle changes and has a trainer.
"I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," she said. "Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I'm so glad I did because I feel great."
The following month, she said on her and her husband Daryl Sabara's podcast, Workin' On It, that Sabara, 32, is also taking Mounjaro.
During the episode, Trainor stressed that "you have to put in the work as well," and noted that the couple has ensured they've been taking the right actions to maintain their healthy lifestyle habits.

"We were like, 'We have to make sure we don't lose muscle that we worked so hard gaining all those years,'" she said. "We stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry."
Trainor added that she has "no shame" being on Mounjaro because of how great it's been for her health. Adding that although she doesn't mind being open about her journey, she admitted to being hurt by the criticism she received for using medication to slim down.
