Micah Parsons is one of the best defensive players in the NFL, and a man who wants out of the Dallas Cowboys. So far, no team has reportedly shown interest in helping him out.

Per ESPN's Todd Archer, the Cowboys haven't received a call regarding a trade for the All-Pro pass-rusher, nor have contract discussions started between the two sides since Parsons threw Cowboys training camp on its head last week by demanding a trade following months of unsuccessful contract extension negotiations.

Team owner Jerry Jones has said he has no intention of granting Parsons' request, and teams are apparently taking him at his word there. However, he has also admitted to not being confident Parsons will be suiting up for the team in Week 1.

Parsons is entering the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, which will pay him $24 million. He will theoretically hit free agency after this season, but the Cowboys have the franchise tag available to delay his exit for a while.

If he were actually considered available, Parsons would command an extraordinarily high price. At 26 years old, he is on a Hall of Fame track and has been an integral part of the Cowboys' defense since they drafted him 12th overall in 2021.

While players often hold out after requesting a trade or wanting to renew contract negotiations, Parsons has so far reported to every Cowboys practice in Oxnard, California. If he didn't, he would face fines of up to $50,000 per day.

However, he has also avoided doing anything strenuous due to a back issue, which Jones has painted as being a contract play similar to the trade request. Per Archer, Parsons missed his first practice of camp on Thursday due to back tightness.

We'll see if those back issues resolve themselves when Parsons gets his new contract or his trade, but the situation is currently looming over everything at Cowboys training camp. Both sides have been willing to draw the dispute out into the open, with little indication that anything is being done behind the scenes to work toward a resolution.
