The cast of *Special Forces: World's Toughest Test* is really thinning out.

Having gone into the season with 18 recruits, only eight of them remain. Three left on Thursday's episode, after struggling with all the physical and mental challenges that come along with being part of the Fox reality show.

The first of the three to depart was model Chanel Iman, who struggled as the group walked up a mountain for one of their daunting tasks. When she fell behind the others, she was told by the Directing Staff that she'd better catch up or face having her armband taken from her, which would signal that she was done.

"I'm going as quick as I can, sir," Iman answered.**

But that wasn't enough. When the group's lead grew even more, Iman was told, "You just lost your team and any chance to stay on this course."

In the same episode, former NFL player Eric Decker was called in to see the medic, after he aggravated a previous injury. He was told what recruits don't want to hear: "I don't think we can really safely let you carry on."**

When he arrived back at the barracks and told his wife what had happened, she said that she wanted to head home with him. "We ride together, we fly together," she said.**

Saturday Night Live's 50th season celebration may have been one big party for some of the show's most iconic figures — but for legendary writer Jim Downey, he admits things went a little awry.

The longtime comedy writer and producer looked back on his SNL50 experience during an appearance on The Tonight Show on Wednesday (Oct. 29) where he revealed that he ended up suffering a pretty intense injury ahead of the weekend.

"I had fallen off the stage at Radio City a few days earlier when I was doing a thing with Bill Murray," Downey explained.

In the hospital, Downey says he was told that he almost lost his eye. Thankfully, it was able to be saved — but he did have to wear an eye patch for some time, including the events the rest of the weekend.

"That was a real eye patch and it was not a Nick Fury kind of thing," Downey said. "So when people were coming up to me all night long going, 'Jesus, the eye patch? Really? It's like Snake Plissken or something.'"

Downey added that everyone quickly changed their tune once he lifted up the eye patch to show them his injury. Since then, Downey appears to have made a full recovery, noticeably not wearing an eye patch during the interview.

During the rest of the show, host Jimmy Fallon recalled some of Downey's most iconic SNL skits which included Patrick Swayze's Chippendales sketch and numerous Weekend Update segments. He also wrote for Dana Carvey when he played George Bush and Will Ferrell when he played George W. Bush.

Downey, who wrote for over 30 seasons of the show, is still the longest tenured writer in the show's history and went on to be a head writer for Late Night with David Letterman.

You can hear all that Jim Downey had to say below.

At the end of the episode, a title card appeared with words honoring Tate's life.

"In loving memory," the tribute read in honor of Tate, and listed her full name as well as her years of birth (2002) and death, after the actress first appeared on the pilot of *9-1-1: Nashville *that aired Oct. 9, with filming having taken place in June.**

"Isabelle 'Izzy' Tate had a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease," Kim McCray, founder of the McCray Agency, told EW via email.

McCray said Tate "passed away peacefully," and that "the family requests privacy as they deal with this sudden and shocking loss."**

"Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others. She was also quite musically inclined, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends and even publishing a few," read an obituary for Tate.

Caitlyn Jenner made her debut on *The Kardashians *on Thursday, as the family said goodbye to their home of 15 years.

Called El Dorado Meadow, the house is where Caitlyn lived during her marriage to Kris Jenner and where their daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, spent their high school years.

While Kris and Caitlyn haven't had much contact following their divorce in 2014, after 22 years of marriage, Kris said she thought Caitlyn should be there. She announced that to the family, as they were all about to sit down to a nice dinner.

Caitlyn, who transitioned in 2015, was part of the cast of the family's earlier reality shows, *Keeping Up With the Kardashians*, but she had steered clear of the Hulu series they've done since 2022.

"There she is," Kris announced as Caitlyn walked in wearing jeans, having only received a call about an hour before. While Caitlyn had been busy "eating dinner and watching Fox News," she had come right over after Kris asked if she wanted to be with her kids.

There was a lot of nervous smiling. And Caitlyn didn't help smooth things over when she dramatically joked that she had purchased the home Kris is leaving behind — "I bought it! Yes, I'm gonna keep it in the family. I bought the house. It's mine now" — and no one could tell if she was serious. She quickly confessed that she "couldn't afford" it anymore.

"I definitely wasn't expecting my dad to be here," Kendall said, "just knowing the relationship that my mom has with my dad; not that it's bad, it's just distant. I think my mom's had a hard time inviting my dad to some of our family gatherings in the past, so it makes me happy that Kylie and I didn't have to ask for my dad to be invited and that my mom just thought it was a good idea regardless."

In another aside, Kylie said, "I don't know if my parents will ever be best friends again, but this is definitely a great first step."**

Of course, the Kardashian kids — whose father is the late Robert Kardashian — Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob were there too, as were plenty of children.

Khloé praised her mom for her selfless gesture.

"Mom, that was really big of you, and I'm shocked you did that," she told her when the two had a moment, "but that was very nice."**

Kris said that inviting Caitlyn over "felt like the right thing to do."

Khloé explained to the audience, "For my mom to invite Caitlyn over here, when I know how hard that is for her. This was someone she was married to for 25 years, and I remember being in that back room with all of my siblings, watching the Diane Sawyer interview."

When Sawyer interviewed Caitlyn in 2015, just after the former Bruce Jenner announced she was a trans woman, the retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete said that, "for all intents and purposes, I am a woman." She also explained that she hadn't always been fair to the women she'd been married to.

Despite all the potential for drama, the night was filled with dinner, hugs, a lot of memories, and minimal tears.

New episodes of *The Kardashians* are available Thursdays on Hulu.

John Stamos in Full House Season 5, Episode 18

John Stamos and Ginger the chimpanzee on 'Full House'. Credit:

*Full House* doesn't immediately spring to mind when considering shows that subjected their stars to great risk in order to pull off memorable scenes. But one season 5 scene with John Stamos and a chimpanzee ought to change that.

Sitcom stars–turned–rewatch podcasters Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin recently revisited season 5, episode 18, "Too Much Monkey Business," in which the Tanner family must temporarily cohabitate with a chimpanzee named Ginger, whom Danny's (Bob Saget) younger sister Wendy (Darlene Vogel) brings back from a research trip to Africa.**

Barber and Sweetin recalled Stamos telling them he was "terrified" of acting opposite Ginger during one close contact scene, "because they were like, 'Don't look it in the eye.'"**

Jesse (John Stamos), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), Michelle (played by twins Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen), Danny (Bob Saget), Joey (Dave Coulier), Kimmy (Andrea Barber) and D.J. (Candace Cameron) were featured in a promo made by Danny's TV station.

"Chimps are dangerous!" Barber contended. Sweetin agreed, remembering that the primate's handlers informed the cast, "If you have to interact with it, it has to get to know you a little bit. But don't look it in the eye, don't smile at it."

Barber described the memorable scene Stamos and the chimp had to film together as "wild," consisting of "a lot of physical interaction — like, the monkey is smacking him at one point."

There was indeed ample smacking after Ginger crawls into bed with Uncle Jesse (Stamos), who assumes the animal's initially gentle taps and caresses are those of his wife, Becky (Lori Loughlin). "Is that new perfume? It's a walk on the wild side," he says with his eyes closed, Ginger perched behind him, while the real Becky tries to keep from bursting out laughing on the other side of the room.

Eventually, Ginger's playful touches turn to rowdy smacks on Jesse's behind. "The rough stuff tonight, huh, honey?" Jesse jokes, blithely unaware, before shooting out of bed after locking eyes with the chimp.

"Props to John for getting through this," Barber observed. Sweetin observed that "John is laughing so hard, too. It's like he's trying to keep it together, and he cannot, which I get. Like, if there were a monkey spanking me, excuse me, a chimp spanking me, I also would not be able to keep a straight face."**

Stamos has reflected on the comical yet nerve-wracking scene before, telling PEOPLE in 2017, that he got "welts on my butt" from all of Ginger's smacking.

"I think when they ran out of ideas they would say, 'Let's put Stamos with monkey. Bring a ferret. Do you have a ferret?'" he reflected. "It was a different animal every week."**

Ginger is among the most memorable animals to appear on the ABC sitcom, but there was season 1's ferret, discovered in the titular home's attic. Later, the series added a golden retriever, Comet, and showcased a parrot, a turtle, a horse. In the season 3 episode "The Greatest Birthday," the family go all in on little Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen) turning three by throwing her a circus-themed bash, complete with a real, live elephant.******
