| ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Mia Thornton Shares Cancer Diagnosis Posted: 25 Feb 2022 05:19 PM PST  Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer. “Same time last week, Doc called at 7:31am — Mia I'm so sorry but your test results came back and I need you to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today,” the Bravo personality, 37, wrote via Instagram on Friday, February 24. “You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion [husband Gordon Thornton] and I endured trying to figure out why. However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong.” Mia did not reveal what type of cancer she has been diagnosed with, though she did tell fans she has been seeing specialists “every single day” to determine her treatment. “The storm is not over but this experience is changing me,” she added. The reality star concluded her post by sharing a “message from my heart” with her followers. “[This is] a gentle reminder to Live, Love & Forgive as if today was your last,” Mia wrote. “Be great Kings & Queens.” The entrepreneur’s announcement was met with messages of support from her fellow Housewives, including her RHOP costar Robyn Dixon, who wrote, “Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong mama.” Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shereé Whitfield commented, “Keeping you in my prayers!!” Meanwhile, Drew Sidora added that she was sending “prayers and healing.” The North Carolina native joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Potomac in 2021, and her relationship with the other Housewives got off to a rocky start. “I would say she definitely surprised me out of everyone in the group. I had a few moments where I was like, ‘OK…'” Wendy Osefo told Entertainment Tonight in July 2021. The political commentator, 37, continued: “Mia is different, and the reason I say that is because when you're in a group of other women, you sort of think we have someone that represents every personality type, but then in comes Mia. Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers' whirlwind relationship had fans talking from beginning to end. According to Woodley, the pair met sometime in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Though rumors about a potential romance were sparked in July 2020, the relationship was kept tightly under wraps for some time after. Fans only found out the couple were dating a few days before their engagement was announced on February 6, 2021. Rodgers previously dated race car driver Danica Patrick. The two began dating in January 2018 and broke up in July 2020. The former pair met in 2012 at the ESPY Awards, years before their romance began. "We both remember meeting each other, it was quick," Patrick said on Jenny McCarthy‘s SiriusXM show in May 2018. "I got his email address, and I remember thinking to myself, 'Oh, not a phone number? Just an email address?'" Before Rodgers, Woodley dated rugby player Ben Volavola. The relationship was first confirmed when the activist posted an Instagram picture holding Volavola's hand in 2017. The Green Bay Packers quarterback, 38, and the Big Little Lies alum, 30, were spotted at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 22. The outing sparked speculation that the exes were back together after calling off their engagement. "Things are different now, but they were definitely over," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. "Now that Aaron is in [the] off season, he has more downtime and can focus more on a relationship. Shailene is understanding and open — she hasn’t shut the door completely or [she] would’ve never agreed to meet up with him." The insider adds that Woodley and Rodgers are "talking things through and trying to keep things private," but even after calling it quits, "their love for each other never went away." While the two are taking the opportunity to reconnect, a romantic reunion could go either way at this point. Sister Wives star Paedon Brown is opening up about his bond with dad Kody Brown — and explaining why the father-son duo aren’t “as close” as fans might expect. The 23-year-old TLC star exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, February 24, that he sees his mom, Christine Brown, “once a month,” but things are different with the 53-year-old Wyoming native. “Dad’s relationship has always [had] ups and downs with all of us,” Paedon said of his 17 siblings. “There are times when he’s the absolute best [and] there are times when he’s the absolute worst. … He’s always fluctuated, and people’s opinions of him have fluctuated.” The construction worker doesn’t live near the Brown family’s compound in Flagstaff, Arizona, where Kody resides with wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown. Christine, 49, announced in November 2021 that she and Kody were separating after more than 20 years together. Because of the distance between him and the rest of his relatives, Paedon is “not really” jealous of the strong bonds his father has developed with the other Brown kids. “It’s what it is,” he told Us. “I don’t live there. … So, of course, I’m not nearly as close with him as they are. That makes sense.” Along with Paedon, Christine and Kody share daughters Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11. While Paedon’s bond with his own mother “is fantastic,” he told Us that his relationship with Robyn “has heavily fluctuated over the years.” Despite their highs and lows, the former National Guard member doesn’t hold a grudge as Robyn and Kody’s romance flourishes. “Dad found the woman he loves. Robyn found the man she loves,” he added. “Robyn found someone who wants to take care of her children. Yeah, I mean, I’m not super stoked about everything because you can’t be stoked about everything with everyone, but no, I don’t hold grudges against them for them finding love. And for [her kids] finding an amazing dad.” When it comes to Christine and Kody’s split, Paedon is “happy” that the former couple did what was best for them — and that he found out from his parents themselves. “I was supportive of their decision. … It wasn’t [my] mom telling me for years, ‘I’m gonna leave him. Julia Stiles and her husband, Preston Cook, have ensured that their relationship was private for nearly a decade. The actress and the camera assistant began dating in 2014 after meeting on the set of her film Blackway. They quietly got engaged in December 2015, with Stiles later gushing about the romantic proposal. "It was a total surprise," she said during a July 2016 appearance on Live With Kelly! "Mostly because I talked myself out of it." Stiles hoped that an engagement was imminent, but she did not want to let her expectations disrupt her time with Cook over the holidays. "We went on a trip to Colombia with his entire family over Christmas and New Year's," she explained. "So, because I'm a lady, I was like, 'Do not ruin a perfectly good vacation by getting your hopes up. Just let it go. Be in the present moment.'" However, the former actor tipped off the 10 Things I Hate About You star prior to popping the question. Drew Barrymore has not held back about the struggles of returning to the dating scene following her split from ex-husband Will Kopelman. Barrymore and Kopelman tied the knot in 2012 and later welcomed daughters Olive and Frankie. After four years of marriage, the pair announced their split in April 2016. "Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family," they said in a joint statement. "Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority." The Scream actress, who was previously married to Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green, admitted that she “did not take” the divorce well. “I couldn’t make sense of it,” Barrymore said during an interview with Willie Geist in October 2020, noting that she took it “really hard” at the time. “I think it applies to everyone who thinks that something will be forever and it’s not. It’s so hard. | Shanna Moakler Is ‘Completely Done’ With Matthew Rondeau After Arrest Posted: 25 Feb 2022 01:58 PM PST  After Matthew Rondeau was arrested, Shanna Moakler is ready to move on. "She’s not getting back with him, that’s for sure," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly of the former Miss USA, 46. "She’s completely done." The Meet the Barkers alum had been dating the model, 29, on and off since 2020, with the insider noting that Rondeau had since been "kicked out" of her house. "She’s been with him for a few years and she was serious about their relationship," the source explains. "They bonded with each other’s families, they’ve spoken about marriage, they lived with each other — so it’s just an emotional time for her right now. Shanna is doing OK and is just recovering from yesterday’s traumatic experience." Us previously confirmed on Thursday, February 24, that Rondeau had been arrested for felony domestic violence following an alleged altercation with Moakler. Several hours earlier, Rondeau made headlines after sharing a concerning video via Moakler's Instagram account where he alleged that she was still fixated on ex-husband Travis Barker and slept at another man's house the night before. (The former pageant queen was married to the Blink-182 drummer, 46, from 2004 to 2008 and they share son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16.) "So, it's over, K? Oh lord is f–king right, so record me now because this is done," the Murder Party actor said via a since-deleted Instagram video. "I'm done. I'm never talking to this f–king specimen of a f–king human again. The truth is I found out that she was talking to other f–king people the whole entire time in our relationship." A source told Us at the time that Rondeau is "spinning the story," noting that Moakler "would never" sleep with a married man. After the incident, both Alabama and her manager, David Weintraub, reassured fans that the former Bridalplasty host was feeling better. "Just texted my mom," the teenager captioned a Thursday social media upload. "I'm not sure what happened on her [Instagram] live I'm in contact with her and she is OK Weintraub, for his part, told Us via a statement that his client felt "especially" thankful amid all the well wishes. "Thank you to everyone calling with concern about Shanna. She is OK and survived this traumatic experience," the DWE Talent CEO added. "Thankfully, the police saved her from harm's way and she is doing fine. At the moment, she asks that she is given her space to adjust to life after this trauma." Rondeau was released from jail later that day, subsequently sharing a statement via his Instagram Story. "Today was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life," he wrote on Thursday. "To my family and friends, I just want you to know I love you so so much. You know I'd never lay a hand on another woman. My mother is my angel and my best friend. She raised me right. … I'm safe and I'm just moving forward. I'm just mentally drained and in complete disbelief. The love of my life has made me out to be the villain.
