As she wrapped up her 2021 in a short video on a previous post, the German athlete is ready for a new adventure in the New Year. Leaving the old in 2021 and embracing the freshness of a new season, Bouard revels in this new sportswear partnership.

Wrapping Up 2021

The Olympic athlete captioned her recap video, "What a Crazy year 2021." Indeed, it was an eventful year, having to continue living in a pandemic and adjust to the new normal. Bouard lived a full life in the past year, from diving into the ocean, to getting new tattoos, and of course, skiing in the snow.

Despite its ups and downs, she continued her heartfelt post with gratitude for the previous year. The freeskier then urged fans to keep their heads up even though it's hard sometimes and "be always positive!"

A year after assuming the role as the Philadelphia 76ers' president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey was tasked to find a solution to their problem involving disgruntled superstar Ben Simmons. Since taking most of the blame for their failure to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, Simmons has expressed his desire to leave the Sixers and start a new journey somewhere else.

Morey and the Sixers first tried to make efforts to convince Simmons to stay but after they realized that he has no plan of changing his mind, they started listening to offers for him on the trade market.

Daryl Morey Still Expecting A Massive Haul For Ben Simmons

Months have already passed since Simmons demanded a trade, but the drama surrounding him is yet to come to an end. However, the main reason why Simmons remains with the Sixers isn't because he's not receiving interest in the trade market. According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, it's because, as of now, Morey and the Sixers are still expecting a huge return for their disgruntled superstar.

"Still, sources say the Sixers — who have been on the lookout for an All-Star in return for Simmons for so long now — have continued to ask for a massive haul in return while frustrating some suitors along the way," Amick wrote, as quoted by ClutchPoints.

Sixers Waiting For Top Two Trade Targets To Become Available

Since the 2021 NBA offseason, Morey and the Sixers have been telling every interested team that they are seeking an All-Star caliber player for Simmons. Some league executives who spoke to The Athletic believes that the Sixers are specifically waiting for Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard and Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal to become available on the trading block.

"As such, some team executives remain convinced that Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is still waiting for Portland's Damian Lillard or Washington's Bradley Beal to be made available down the line (i.e. this summer at the earliest)," Amick added.

Damian Lillard & Bradley Beal Perfect Fit With Joel Embiid

It's easy to understand why Morey and the Sixers still haven't given up on their dream of trading Simmons for Lillard or Beal. Both players would be better superstar running mates for Embiid than Simmons and would make the Sixers a more competitive team in the Eastern Conference. Sharing the court with an elite three-point shooter like Lillard and Beal would help the Sixers maximize Embiid's full potential on the court.

With Lillard or Beal on the floor, Embiid could focus more on punishing opponents under the basket.

Damian Lillard & Bradley Beal Unlikely To Become Available Anytime Soon

Unfortunately for the Sixers, the Trail Blazers and the Wizards haven't given any indication that they are planning to trade Lillard and Beal before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. As of now, Lillard, Beal, and the respective teams are currently focused on reaching the playoffs in the 2021-22 NBA season.

Also, during the 2021 NBA offseason, both superstars have stated that they intend to finish their NBA careers with their respective teams. However, there remains a possibility for them to change their mind if their teams fall short of achieving their goal this season.

NBA Rumors: LA Lakers Could Explore Trading Russell Westbrook To Celtics For Al Horford & Marcus Smart

The Los Angeles Lakers traded for All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook last summer with the hope that pairing him with LeBron James and Anthony Davis would strengthen their chances of reaching the NBA Finals and winning the NBA championship title. Unfortunately, things didn't go as the Lakers expected in the 2021-22 NBA season. Westbrook hasn't only struggled to make himself fit with James and Davis, but he also remains inconsistent on both ends of the floor.

A month before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, rumors are circulating that the Lakers are exploring the possibility of moving Westbrook again.

Russell Westbrook To Boston Celtics

One of the potential trade partners for the Lakers in the deal involving Westbrook is the Boston Celtics. In a recent article, Grant Afseth of NBA Analysis Network created a list of trades the Lakers could explore before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. These include the hypothetical blockbuster deal that would send Westbrook to Beantown.

If the Celtics are seeking improvement at the starting point guard position, Afseth suggested that they could trade Al Horford and Marcus Smart to the Lakers in exchange for Westbrook. However, both teams would be needing to wait until January 20 to make the deal so the trade restriction on Smart's contract will already be lifted.

Marcus Smart Replaces Russell Westbrook In Lakers' Backcourt

If the Celtics are really willing to give up Smart, this would be a no-brainer deal for the Lakers. Smart would be an intriguing addition to the Lakers. He may not be a traditional point guard, but he would be an incredible replacement for Westbrook in the Lakers' backcourt.

Unlike the ball-dominant Westbrook, Smart knows how to play unselfish basketball, making it easier for him to make himself fit with James and Davis. Also, his ability to guard multiple positions would help the Lakers improve their defensive efficiency that currently ranks No. 12 in the league, allowing 106.1 points per 100 possessions, per ESPN.

Lakers Get A Floor-Spacing Big Man

Horford is mainly included in the deal for salary-matching purposes. However, if Coach Frank Vogel knows how to use him correctly, Horford could make the Lakers a more competitive team in the Western Conference this season. The Lakers may currently have a logjam in their frontcourt but unlike Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan, he's capable of knocking down shots from beyond the arc.

Sharing the court with a floor-spacing big man like Horford would make it easier for James and Davis to penetrate the basket or kick the ball out when they are trapped by the opposing team's defense.

Why The Celtics Would Make The Trade

Meanwhile, trading for Westbrook would be an act of desperation for the Celtics, who are currently out of the playoff race, sitting in the No. 10 spot in the Eastern Conference with an 18-19 record. However, if they fail to find other ways to improve their roster around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, they might as well try a Westbrook experiment.

Westbrook may have disappointed with the Lakers, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the same thing would happen once he starts playing for the Celtics. If the experiment doesn't go well, it would be easier for the Celtics to get rid of Westbrook in the 2022 NBA offseason since there would only be one year left in his contract.

Despite having the explosive backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, the Portland Trail Blazers are noticeably struggling in the 2021-22 NBA season. As of now, the Trail Blazers have lost seven of their last 10 games, sitting in the No. 12 spot in the Eastern Conference with a 14-22 record. However, though they are currently out of the playoff race, they still have no plan of undergoing a full-scale rebuild.

Instead of taking a different route, the Trail Blazers are expected to find a way to build a more competitive roster around Lillard and McCollum.

Jerami Grant To Portland Trail Blazers

One of the players that the Trail Blazers could target before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is veteran small forward Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons. In a recent article, Brett Siegel of NBA Analysis Network came up with a hypothetical trade idea that would enable Grant to join forces with McCollum and Lillard in Portland.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Trail Blazers would be sending a package that includes Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little, Robert Covington, a 2024 first-round pick, a 2026 first-round pick, and a 2022 second-round pick to the Pistons in exchange for Grant.

Jerami Grant's On-Court Impact On Trail Blazers

Grant would be an incredible addition to the Trail Blazers. Though he's yet to earn his first All-Star recognition, some people consider him as one of the best two-way players in the league. He would give them a very reliable third-scoring option behind Lillard and McCollum, as well as a great rebounder, defender, and floor-spacer.

This season, the 27-year-old small forward is averaging 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, and 1.1 steals while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from beyond the arc, per ESPN. Aside from giving them another offensive weapon, the potential arrival of Grant in Portland would also help the Trail Blazers improve their defensive efficiency that currently ranks 30th in the league, allowing 112.5 points per 100 possessions, per ESPN.

Blazers Form Own 'Big Three'

Though it would cost them some of their young players and future draft assets, trading for Grant should be a no-brainer for the Trail Blazers. It won't only help them keep Lillard happy in Portland, but it would also make them a competitive team in the Western Conference. Grant wouldn't make the Trail Blazers an instant favorite to capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy but if he meshes well with McCollum and Lillard, it would enable them to form a "Big Three" that would boost their chances of making their ninth consecutive postseason appearance this season.

Why The Pistons Would Make The Trade

The proposed blockbuster deal with the Trail Blazers would also make a lot of sense for the Pistons, especially now that they finally decide to undergo a full-scale rebuild. By sending Grant to Portland, they would be receiving two young and promising players in Simons and Little and future first-round picks that they could use to add more talented prospects to their roster.

With Grant gone, the Pistons would also have a better chance of winning another lottery pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

In any potential deal involving their disgruntled player, Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is seeking a young star who would complement Joel Embiid on the court.

Ben Simmons To New York Knicks

One of the most intriguing trade destinations for Simmons before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is the New York Knicks. In a recent article, Luke Duffy of Fansided's Hoops Habit discussed why the Knicks should trade for Simmons. Simmons may still have some major flaws in his game, but it doesn't erase the fact that he's a three-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-Defensive First Team, and an All-NBA Third Team.

The 21-year-old snowboarding sensation has been training since she was 4, started competing at 6, found instant global fame after winning two golds at the 2018 Winter Olympics while also receiving hate on social media because of that fame. Post-Olympic Fame

In an interview with People, the Korean-American athlete recounted, "I was used to getting recognized on the mountain. Everyone there knows the story, but it never happened when I wasn't on the mountain. Then after the Olympics, it was happening all the time everywhere. And it got really, really overwhelming. No one really prepared me for that."

In 2019, Kim enrolled at Princeton and took a break from snowboarding because of an injury. Then in 2020, the pandemic and lockdown happened.

Therapy During Lockdown

It was during lockdown that the halfpipe star turned to therapy to cope with her issues. "It's been a big improvement in my mental health," she told Shape. "I'm learning to open up more and communicate my feelings with people around me."

Her hiatus from her sport made her realize that she needed "to be more respectful of my mental health and my time. I think I wasn't able to. I didn't give myself enough personal time and was just going straight into work, work, work, work, work. It just made me go crazy. So I was like, 'I can't do it anymore.' I definitely have anxiety," she said to People.

Music, Plants And Food

On a lighter note, Kim also shared with Shape what she normally does to keep herself entertained, like singing, taking care of plants and cooking.

The top snowboarder is a fan of karaoke, and it was that love for music that got her cast in The Masked Singer. She likes gardening as well and can get "stuck in the plant section for two hours" while shopping. Also, the US-born daughter of immigrants loves food, especially Korean barbecue, saying, "I have this crazy workout, so I'm like, I deserve to eat." Battle With COVID

Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, contracted the coronavirus while she was already battling double pneumonia – a lung infection that affects both lungs of an individual.

During a photoshoot, Mandy almost fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to Hola! magazine, the disease badly affected her lungs, and doctors were surprised as to how she was even breathing.

"They said that had my body not responded as quickly as it did, I had two days [to live]," Mandy revealed, per the publication.

"They said, 'We don't know how you've been breathing this whole time. I made it through COVID and didn't lose my taste or smell or anything, but it beat up my lungs pretty hardcore."

'Unvaccinated'

Speaking about the importance of receiving a COVID-19 jab, Selena's mom said that she got the infection before she could get her first vaccine shot, adding that once she caught the virus, her condition deteriorated pretty quickly as her oxygen saturation levels went down.

"A week before I was going to get my first COVID shot, I got COVID. I was at home the whole time. But when my fever broke, my oxygen went to 69, and I was rushed to the hospital," she said, per Hola!.

Questions About Jabs

According to Hola!, when the doctors found out that Mandy had not been vaccinated when she got COVID-19, they started questioning her, assuming that she was an anti-vaxxer.

Speaking to Entrepreneur Magazine, Mandy said that one of the hospitals she went to was quite badgering as they asked her why she didn't get her shot instead of treating her condition first.

"[I was like] I literally can't breathe right now. Can we talk about this later? I will explain why", she told the publication, per Hola!.

Being The ‘Lucky One’

Selena's mother says she battled her condition bravely and turned out to be one of the "lucky ones" to survive the disease.

She told Entrepreneur Magazine, that the doctors treated her condition by administering a combination of steroids and antibiotics, coupled with some breathing exercises.

"It was definitely an experience, and it wasn't scary until I got home. When I got home, I was like, 'Wow, I may not have ever come back here.' I was a lucky one," she said, according to Hola!.

Kevin Love Finally Helping The Cavaliers Win

Love may be mostly coming off the bench this season, but he's in no doubt one of the major reasons behind the Cavaliers' early success. So far, the Cavaliers have won six of their last 10 games, surprisingly sitting in the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference with a 21-16 record. Despite surrendering the starting role to young teammates, Love has shown an increase in production this season.

Love finished 2021 strong, averaging 17.9 points and 7.5 rebounds in the month of December, per ESPN. In their first game in 2022, against the Indiana Pacers, he helped the Cavaliers secure a victory with 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.0 steal while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the three-point range.

Kevin Love Remains Top Trade Candidate

Despite successfully reinventing himself this season, Love still continues to be the subject of various trade speculations. In a recent article, Dan Favale of Bleacher Report created a list of players every NBA team need to trade in 2022. For the Cavaliers, it's Love.

"Defaulting to Love fits that uncertainty," Favale said after explaining why Love is the top trade candidate in Cleveland. "He remains tough to move now, even though he's playing better. But he'll be a $28.9 million expiring contract over the summer when Cleveland has a firmer grip on the health of its roster, overall place in the East, and stronger motivation to act like a heavyweight buyer."

Should Cavaliers Trade Kevin Love?

Love may be playing well right now, but it's still hard to envision him as part of their long-term future. At 33, he clearly doesn't fit their rebuilding plans. Watson Throws Big Bash For His Girlfriend

Watson reportedly went all out on the party, showering his better half in presents and even sharing a slow dance together:

"The Texans quarterback threw the internet personality and singer/rapper a private party at Turner's, a lavish restaurant in Houston, where they partied the night away with friends and family," reported the New York Post.

"Watson gifted Anais with diamonds and a number of designer bags, including a Birkin bag by Hermes. Anais showed off a custom Cuban link diamond necklace from Watson, with her nickname, 'Lovebug' engraved in it," added the report.

The League Continues To Investigate Watson

Given his legal status, Watson was inactive throughout the whole regular season.

Nonetheless, the league claim that they still don't have enough information to put him on paid leave or on the exempt list and vowed to continue digging deep into this matter.

"Earlier this month, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at an NFL owners meeting in New York that the league doesn't have enough information to place Watson on the exempt list, which is equivalent to that of paid administrative leave," reported the New York Post.

18 Of 22 Plaintiffs Were Ready To Settle

Even so, Watson still drew plenty of interest in the trade market during the season, and there was some traction to get a deal done with the Miami Dolphins.

However, the fact that four of the 22 women who accused Watson decided not to settle the charges eventually killed the deal.

"Per a source with knowledge of the situation, 18 of the 22 plaintiffs suing Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson for sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions were ready to settle with him in late October. Four holdouts prevented a deal from being done," reported ProFootballTalk.

Browns Could Make A Run At Watson

Still, several teams are expected to pursue Watson in the offseason, with Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated stating that the Cleveland Browns could be in the mix for his services.

"I'd expect Browns to be a player. Are they going to be willing to go the distance? I don't know that, but I absolutely believe the Browns are going to be a player for Deshaun Watson if/when he becomes available. Let's call this an educated guess,"Breer said.

The Browns failed to make the playoffs and Baker Mayfield looked far from a franchise quarterback, so we wouldn't be shocked to see them try and make a move for either Watson or any other QB in the offseason.

Despite missing some of their key players to injuries, the Golden State Warriors are currently establishing an impressive performance in the 2021-22 NBA season. So far, they have won eight of their last 10 games, sitting in the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference with a 29-7 record. With the way that they are playing right now, it's no longer surprising that the Warriors are emerging as one of the top favorites to reach the NBA Finals and capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy this season.

However, some still view them as one of the teams that could make big moves before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

Trade James Wiseman

Having a plethora of interesting trade assets, the Warriors are in a strong position to engage in a blockbuster deal this season. One of the best trade chips for the Warriors is James Wiseman, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. In a recent article, Dan Favale of Bleacher Report explained why trading Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline is a huge possibility for the Warriors.

According to Favale, the Warriors may consider moving Wiseman if a "can't-miss star" becomes available on the trading block and if they start to realize that they can't "effectively juggle" his development to their present.

James Wiseman Doesn't Fit Timeline Of Warriors' Core

Though they have said on numerous occasions that they consider him part of their long-term plan, no one would be surprised if the Warriors really end up trading Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. Wiseman indeed has the potential to become an All-Star caliber center in the league but with the Warriors currently in win-now mode, they no longer have the patience to wait for his full development.

What they need right now is a more experienced, starting-caliber center that would mesh well with their aging core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Potential Trade Targets For Warriors

Wiseman is yet to play a single game in the 2021-22 NBA season due to an injury but according to a Twitter post by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Coach Steve Kerr mentioned that the young big man would advance to "contact work" next week. Once he proves that he's injury-free, he's expected to receive strong interest from teams that are in the initial phase of the rebuilding process.

Some of the players that the Warriors could target in the potential deal involving Wiseman include Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers, Christian Wood of the Houston Rockets, Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons.

Offseason Trade Involving James Wiseman

As of now, the Warriors are yet to show a strong indication that they are planning to move Wiseman before the 2022 NBA trade deadline, and there's a huge possibility that he would spend the entire 2021-22 NBA season in Golden State. However, if they fail to reclaim their throne this season, Favale believes that the Warriors are highly likely to trade Wiseman for "marquee reinforcements" in the 2021 NBA offseason.

"Failing all that, there's always the chance the Warriors don't win a title this year, in which case they better be scouring the market for marquee reinforcements to pair with Dray, Klay and Stephen Curry—a search inextricably tethered to Wiseman's availability and mystery-box mystique," Favale wrote.
