Lady Gaga Impresses Donatella Versace In Braless Corset Dress

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 06:52 PM PST

Lady Gaga might be starring in new movie House of Gucci, but yesterday the 35-year-old made it "House of Versace" in a sizzling and plunging red corset dress. The singer and actress has been making designer headlines virtually every day this month as she continues to promote the flick co-starring Mexican actress Salma Hayek, and last night's premiere brought quite the display as Gaga stunned all legs in a busty and braless dress.

Gaga didn't just impress the fans, though. Donatella Versace herself is sending the thumbs-up.

Ditching Gucci For Versace

Scroll for the photos. The Haus Laboratories founder is currently in Europe's fashion capital of Milan for the city's House of Gucci premiere. Posting to Instagram on Saturday, the "Bad Romance" hit-maker shared posed shots showing her figure-hugging, satin, and strappy dress, one going traditional via its criss-cross corset accents and showing off some chest via a cupped finish.

Gaga highlighted her tiny waist and toned shoulders, also sporting her platinum blonde hair semi swept up, plus heavy and dramatic dark eye makeup.

The pop icon, donning her favorite platform heels as she matched her satin footwear to her gown, also included a low-key private jet snap - here, she was clearly en route and already in her dress, seen pouting with closed eyes and holding up a magazine. A confession in the caption stayed honest as Gaga gushed, writing:

"I cried all day doing press in Milan. I am so grateful and humbled to be in our movie #HouseOfGucci. Coming Thanksgiving! Father, Son, and tonight…Haus of @Versace."

The post has gained over 1.7 million likes, including one from TikTok star Addison Rae. "FABULOUS My Beautiful Gaga!" came in from legendary designer Donatella, who also wrote: "Love youuuu @ladygaga." Meanwhile, fans spotted the V vs G situation - "Wearing Versace to the House of Gucci premiere is a flex, ma'am," one user joked.

House of Gucci relates the story of Patrizia Reggiani (played by Gaga), who married into the Gucci fashion family in 1972. The movie has also been making headlines in the accent department.

Gaga Says Accent 'Sensationalized'

Speaking earlier this month, Gaga reflected on having worked for so many months on her Italian accent.

"If I'm being honest, I do feel that it's been sensationalized that I worked on my accent for so long, and that I was in character for so long. I think it would have done more of a number on me had I not practiced it so much. It would have been harder for me to go in and out of character on set than to stay in it," she stated, per ET.

Dakota Johnson Felt More Protected In 'The Lost Daughter' Than In '50 Shades of Grey'

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 01:57 PM PST

Dakota Johnson has come a long way from her breakout role in 50 Shades of Grey but until now, she still can't help but look back at the experience.

The 32-year-old actress is currently promoting her new film The Lost Daughter and had revealed in an interview the major difference between working on this new project and the erotic trilogy that made her a household name.

Scroll down to see what Dakota had to say.

Feeling Uncomfortable in '50 Shades of Grey'

According to Johnson, she was never really comfortable filming nude scenes in 50 Shades of Grey.

"I made a big naked trilogy and that was a thing every day," Johnson said. "It was constantly protecting myself, never ever feeling protected."

Dakota was only 24 years old when she was cast as Anastasia Steele. Not only did she have to shoot wild sex scenes, it was revealed that she was also underpaid in the first movie.

'The Lost Daughter' Praised By Critics

In Johnson's new film The Lost Daughter, she is playing an overwhelmed mother who meets a mysterious professor, played by Olivia Colman, and develops a dark relationship with her.

"A lot of the movie takes place on the beach and I never worried about what my body looked like," Johnson said. "None of the women did. That was [expletive] cool."

She went on to say that the movie was more about realism than escapism.

Working With Maggie Gyllenhaal

This new film marks the directorial debut of Maggie Gyllenhaal, who also wrote the screenplay adaptation. The movie is based on a psychological thriller novel of the same title written by Elena Ferrante.

Johnson shared in an interview that Gyllenhaal was a big help in making her feel comfortable in her body.

"You can be doing a sex scene at six o'clock in the morning and then at noon you're at some family dinner or a funeral," Johnson said. "She really gets that. I never worried about being stupid and I never worried about not being seen."

Her Character Is Relatable To Moms

Johnson also expressed her admiration for Gyllenhaal, who she says was approached by viewers during the movie's festival screenings to say how much they loved the film.

Dakota recognizes that her character Nina is relatable to a lot of moms.

"She will never ever be seen as a real human with a mind and a heart," Johnson said. "It's horrible but that's also so real for so many people."

The Lost Daughter is set to be released on Netflix on December 31st and will also be in the UK and US cinemas on December 17th.

Woman Jumps Into Bronx Zoo Lion Exhibit, Dances & Throws $100 Bills In Air

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 01:51 PM PST

A barrier separates visitors and lions at New York's Bronx Zoo, but it didn't stop one woman from jumping in the enclosure.

Wearing a blonde wig and holding a bouquet of roses, the woman danced, shouted at the lions, and threw $100 dollar bills in the air, according to video footage that went viral on social media and can be viewed below.

Believed to be Brooklyn animal lover Myah Autry, the woman has previously pulled similar stunts.

More on this bizarre story below.

Viral Video

In the video footage, the woman is seen dancing and enjoying herself, seemingly standing close to the lions.

"I missed him so much!" the woman says excitedly.

"King, I love you!" she adds in the video clip, and then proceeds to dance.

At one point, she throws what appear to be $100 bills in the air, dances some more, then bends over and smacks her behind in the direction of the lion.

The video is available on Inside Edition's YouTube channel and can be viewed below.

Zoo Responds

In a statement supplied to The New York Post, the Bronx Zoo said that it is "working closely" with the New York Police Department (NYPD).

"This situation involves one individual who is determined to harass our lions with no regard for her safety, or the safety of our staff and our guests, and no regard for the well-being of the lions," the zoo said.

"The woman did not enter the exhibit and was never in the same space as the lions which are separated from zoo visitors by a wide moat," they noted.

2019 Incident

A similar incident took place in 2019.

A woman who was later identified as Myah Autry climbed into a lion enclosure, stood just feet away from one of the animals, and appeared to taunt it.

"This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers," the Bronx Zoo said at the time, per NBC News.

This indecent was also recorded by several witnesses.

Who Is Myah Autry?

It has not been confirmed that it was Myah Autry who danced and threw dollar bills in the air in the viral clip, but all evidence seems to point to that conclusion.

According to The New York Post, Autry believes she is a "reincarnated" lion.

"I fear nobody. No animal, no human, no one. So no, I wasn't fearing of the lion because the lion loved me. That's why he came to me and I let the lion know: Lion, I love you," she said after the 2019 incident.

Erika Jayne Criticized In Cheeky Swimsuit On A Balcony

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 01:44 PM PST

Erika Jayne is being told to quit posing provocatively while in a thong denim swimsuit and high heels. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star didn't have fans on her side in a recent Instagram share, one seeing the 50-year-old flaunt her curves amid headlines she's making for saying she'll never re-marry ex Tom Girardi.

The Bravo star, who has been encouraging men to slide into her DMs on Instagram, definitely posted a photo encouraging male attention. What she got was a different story, though.

Sizzles In Thong Swimwear & High Heels

Scroll for the photo, and best keep the kiddies out the room. Erika, continuing to front media outlets amid her ongoing divorce from 82-year-old Tom after filing to end their 21-year marriage in November of last year, posed bombshell-like and rocking a bit of a Pamela Anderson vibe.

EJ was photographed leaning forward over a sun-drenched balcony with a stone balustrade while highlighting her long legs and rear - the strappy denim one-piece left little to the imagination as the reality star also rocked high-heeled and red-soled Christian Louboutins.

See The Snap Below

Just about showing her face as she gazed down the lens and rocked her blonde hair down, Erika included a rainbow lens filter for extra effect, keeping her caption super-short as she sent her 2.5 million followers a kiss emoji.

A like came in from Netflix star Jamie Lynn Spears, but not everyone seemed to be digging the snap. "No!!!" one user exclaimed, with another going as far as calling Erika "old" and, well, a prostitute. See more reactions after the photo.

Dragging In Tom's Legal Dramas

One user went right for the biggest talking point - Tom reportedly taking out money from his law firm to fund his ex-wife's expenses. "That definitely looks like a woman with remorse for what her husband has done.. kind of makes you look guilty as well, js," they wrote. Erika allegedly owes Tom's firm $25 million and, in September, was said to have missed a deadline to give the money back.

In October, Erika's lawyers were reported to be talking about settling the $25 million lawsuit.

Sources Say She'll Date Soon

Sources close to Erika dished to Hollywood Life last month, stating that the singer is 100% ready to mingle now that she's single.

"She's trying the dating pool because she's really ready to move on with her life. She's excited to fall in love again," they said, also mentioning that Erika isn't keen to share her personal life on camera. "She wants to keep that very private, but she's feeling excited about this and happy in her life right now," they added.

Two Pennsylvania Teens Charged In Police Shooting Of Fanta Bility

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 01:30 PM PST

On August 27, 8-year-old Fanta Bility went to a football game at the Academy Park High School in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania.

Bility, who was due to start the third grade, never returned home: she was apparently shot to death by one of three Sharon Hill police officers that were responding to an incident near the high school.

The incident involved two teenagers, 16-year-old Angelo "AJ" Ford and 18-year-old Hasein Strand. Ford and Strand, and not the police officers, have been charged with murder.

Read more below.

Deadly Shooting

According to an arrest affidavit, it is unclear what Ford and Strand were fighting about, but the situation escalated when Ford lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun.

Strand then went to a nearby car and allegedly pulled out a pistol. The two teenagers fired at one another, injuring an unidentified person.

The three officers at the scene shot in Ford and Strand's direction, but a car was caught in the crossfire. Bility was one of the passengers. She died at the scene, as reported by The Daily Beast.

Charges

Ford and Strand now face first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and gun charges and are both in custody.

It remains unclear which of the three Sharon Hill police officers fired the bullet that killed Bility, but all have been placed on administrative leave for the time being.

In a statement, First Assistant District Attorney Tanner Rous said that the reasoning behind the charges was "very simple."

"They were attempting to kill one another that night, and as a direct result a little girl is dead," Rous said.

Beginning Of Criminal Process

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer described Ford and Strand's arrests as the beginning of the "criminal process for those that initiated the deadly events of August 27 by shooting to kill at a high school football game."

"Still, the pursuit of justice for Fanta demands that my office continue its comprehensive review of the actions of all parties involved in the tragic chain of events," Stollsteimer added.

As The Daily Beast noted, four other people -- including Fanta's 13-year-old sister Mamasa -- were injured by police fire.

Bility Family Attorney Responds

Bruce Castor, an attorney representing Fanta's family, described the decision to charge Ford and Strand as a "gutsy move."

"I want the focus to remain on the Sharon Hill police officers, whose negligent and reckless behavior in reacting as they did is what killed Fanta Bility. From the point of view of the Bility family, these officers killed Fanta, and they need to be held accountable for that," Castor said.

Guyora Binder, a professor at the University at Buffalo School of Law, told Business Insider that prosecutors will have a difficult time proving Ford and Strand's guilt.

Don Lemon Slams Judge In Kyle Rittenhouse Trial

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 12:42 PM PST

On August 25, 2020, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse wounded one and killed two people in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Charged with multiple counts of homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm, Rittenhouse faces a sentence of life in prison if convicted.

Conservative pundits, politicians and media figures have supported Rittenhouse, claiming that he acted in self defense. Liberals, on the other hand, have accused the young man of being a white supremacist.

CNN host Don Lemon weighed in on the Rittenhouse trial this week, taking aim at the judge.

Here's What Lemon Said

Speaking on New Day, Lemon suggested that Judge Bruce Schroeder is both racist and biased in favor of Rittenhouse and his lawyers, as reported by Fox News.

Lemon claimed that the way Schroeder talked to prosecutor Thomas Binger shows just how biased he is.

"I listen to our political pundits, and political pundits on all channels and they seem to -- I guess they're used to giving deference to a judge … the judge's behavior. And most people are not in courtrooms every day like that," he began.

Read More Below

"His behavior is, at the very least, unusual and concerning," Lemon said of Schroeder, adding that most legal experts share his opinion.

"This judge yelling at a prosecutor, anyone in the courtroom … I think it's problematic. And I don't think it's normal," Lemon stated.

"You can decide or not if you think he's biased. Most of the people I've seen on television who analyze, does some analysis of courtrooms, seems to think that there is a bias towards the defense," the CNN host claimed, adding that the judge was "treating Kyle Rittenhouse as if he's his grandson."

'Racist' Joke

Lemon also suggested Schroeder made a racist joke when he talked about Asian food arriving late for lunch.

As the court was preparing for recess, Schroeder said he hoped the Asian food ordered "isn't on one of those boats from Long Beach Harbor," apparently referring to the ongoing California port issues.

"So this is the perfect case -- this one, and the one that's happening in Georgia -- these are perfect cases to bring light to what happens in our criminal justice system, in the court system, because everybody, most of these people, they think it is normal," Lemon said.

What If Rittenhouse Was Black?

Lemon argued that Rittenhouse would be treated much differently if he was Black.

"Imagine if Kyle Rittenhouse was an 18 or 17-year-old Black kid with a gun. How would people feel? How would the judge treat him? How would pundits think about this case?" the host noted.

"What about the people on the right who are making Kyle Rittenhouse out to be a choir boy because he went across state lines, inserted himself into a situation that he had nothing to do with, was carrying a gun that he wasn't supposed to carry because he was too young?" he asked.

The actress has since made major headlines for rocking a plunging and gold-metallic Gucci dress at the premiere of House of Gucci, co-starring Lady Gaga and Hollywood heavyweight Al Pacino. She also donned the luxury Italian brand to the recent LACMA Art + Film Gala as she posed with 2009-married husband François-Henri Pinault.

Didn't Listen To The 'Idiots'

Salma, this year opening up on Hispanic hate in Hollywood and racial profiling she's experienced throughout her career, spoke to In Style in June. The mom to teen daughter Valentina revealed:

"Many people told me, 'You're no good, you're never gonna make it,'"adding: "What if I had listened to those idiots?"

"I did listen to them. I would cry myself to sleep, and give up, and then try again just a little bit - almost embarrassed to admit my dream of being an actress," she continued.

Not A Hot Tamale!

Modest despite those thirst trap bikini snaps, ones Salma says are "liberating" to post, the actress continued with mentions of her age. "I don't think I am some hot tamale, but I know that for my age, for the lifestyle that I lived, I'm not doing too badly. And I attribute all of this to meditation."

Hayek turned 55 earlier his year. Aged 54, she proudly told her followers she was pulling her own stunts in 2021 movie The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, co-starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.

On L.A. Swim Culture

In 2019, Emily made headlines for choosing a NYC bodega setting to shoot her undies campaign. The eye-catching snaps came complete with an Elle feature, one seeing the model open up on L.A.'s beach culture.

"I grew up in southern California and it really was a culture of girls living in their swimsuits," she revealed, adding: "Here was this real confidence, and it was non-sexual, just women doing their thing, you know?" Ratajkowski even said that swim has always been "fun."

Collected A 'Million Bathing Suits'

Continuing, EmRata stated: "I was always a girl who collected a million bathing suits, and I didn't have a go-to swimwear company, and I didn't have a go-to underwear company. For me, that's huge. You know, even just the basic slip dresses, those are harder to find than you would think."

Inamorata is now all over celebrity Insta posts, with 42-year-old Kourtney Kardashian a major fan. In August 2021, supermodel Bella Hadid was spotted donning the brand's swimwear during a vacation.

Johnny Depp's Childhood Trauma That Almost Cost Him Willy Wonka Role

Posted: 14 Nov 2021 12:13 PM PST

Johnny Depp easily embodied his role as Willy Wonka in the 2005 movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. But, did you know that he almost didn't get to play the role of Willy Wonka because of a little-known traumatizing childhood issue?

The 58-year-old star, who is known for his method acting, is a master at bringing to life eccentric characters. One of his most unforgettable roles is definitely the velvet-loving master chocolatier.

Many viewers didn't know that a past health issue may have affected his chances of getting this iconic role.

Johnny Depp Was Allergic To Chocolate

According to Marie Claire, Depp was allergic to chocolate when he was a child.

His allergy was pretty severe that he would break out in rashes whenever he ingested chocolate. Thankfully, he outgrew the allergy as he got older.

But, according to his Chocolat co-star Juliette Binoche, she discovered that Depp didn't really like chocolate at all.

"I discovered that Johnny Depp actually didn't like chocolate. He was spitting it out after each take and Alfred Molina didn't like chocolate that much, either. It was a funny experience dealing with them and the faces they would make."

He Based Willy Wonka On George Bush

Even if Depp wasn't a fan of chocolate, he still easily convinced the audience that he was Willy Wonka, proving how great of an actor he is.

His portrayal was outstanding but his inspiration for the role came from an unlikely source. In a 2012 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the actor revealed that he based his Willy Wonka on a "stoned George W. Bush".

"The idea behind Will Wonka, certain ingredients you add to these characters like Willy Wonka for example. I imagined what George Bush would be like incredibly stoned," he said. "And, thus was born my version of Willy Wonka."

Gene Wilder Didn't Like The Remake

While Depp's version of Wonka impressed critics, Gene Wilder, who played the character in the original 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, didn't really like the remake.

"I think it's an insult. ... To do that with Johnny Depp, who I think is a good actor and I like him, but I don't care for that director. He's a talented man, but I don't care for him for doing stuff like he did," Wilder said in an interview.

Gene Wilder vs. Johnny Depp

Naturally, people couldn't help comparing the two actors. A Twitter user reignited the debate of who played the character better.

Although many vouched for Depp and explained that the Burton film was "darker" and more accurate to the book, majority still voted for the endearing Wilder. Fans of the movie argue that he didn't just play a character, he WAS Willy Wonka.

Kristin Chenoweth's Latest Exploits: Here's What She's Been Up To

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 04:07 PM PST

Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth has had a busy year. In 2021, the 53-year-old stage, movie, and television star appeared in one TV series (Schmigadoon!) and one podcast series (The Bystanders). She's also released a new yuletide album, HAPPINESS is…Christmas!, and is gearing up for a performance at The Metropolitan Opera on December 13. And did we mention she got engaged?

Outside of music and acting, the Wicked star has been involved in a number of projects, keeping fans up to speed on her latest exploits through her Instagram page. Here's what she's been up to lately.

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Chenoweth is one of the many stars appearing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. Back in its original format, the event is slated to be more dazzling than ever, with its starry deck of guests including Carrie Underwood, Foreigner, Jimmie Allen, Glee alum Darren Criss, Busy Philipps, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Mickey Guyton, to name but a few.

"It's back, and we're excited to bring it back to the streets of New York City in its full form, in the way that audiences have grown to know and love us," parade executive producer Will Coss said in a statement.

"It's going to be a celebration of spectacle, a celebration of performance, a celebration of culture, a celebration of love. It's going to be a really exciting day, and we're really just elated to have the opportunity to bring it back in its true form," he added.

Oklahoma Cultural Ambassador

While anxiously waiting for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25, the Broken Arrow native returned to her home state of Oklahoma earlier this week to accept an honorary title. Recognized at this year's Oklahoma Governor's Art Awards, Chenoweth was bestowed the mantle of Oklahoma Cultural Ambassador.

"I was highly emotional, and I didn't expect it," the Emmy and Tony winner told The Oklahoman upon accepting the title on Tuesday. "I never get to be at home... and I'm leaving in the morning to continue to work. But I've loved it. Tonight was very special."

New Children's Book

Among Chenoweth's many accomplishments as of late was writing a children's book. Twelve years after completing her first tome, A Little Bit Wicked, the star is releasing a second title, What Will I Do with My Love Today?, due to come out on March 8.

This will be Chenoweth's first picture book, featuring gorgeous illustrations by Maine Diaz, People is reporting.

The book aims to encourage kids to "look for ways to be kind and loving every day," per a press release. It details the adventures of a young girl named Kristi Dawn, who goes around New York City performing acts of generosity and kindness, including adopting a dog.

"As a child of adoption, I wanted to write a book about what it was like for me to rescue a dog," Chenoweth told People. "I don't think it's all that different. It's you love who you love, and you pick your family sometimes and sometimes it's nature versus nurture. In my case, I got the right parents and in my dog Thunder's case, she definitely got the right parent."

'My Moment' Book

That is not the only writing venture she's undertaken this year. Together with four other talented ladies -- Hocus Pocus star Kathy Najimy, 4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry, country singer Chely Wright, and writer Lauren Blitzer -- Chenoweth is compiling a book of essays coming out on April 26.

Titled My Moment: 106 Women on Fighting for Themselves, the essay collection is inspired by the #MeToo movement and comprises the stories of 106 women, celebrities included, notes Variety.

"For so long, women have been silent about things that have hurt them or made them feel ashamed," said Chenoweth. "I've kept my story quiet for a long time, and yes, it was scary to tell, but I'm doing it because I feel so empowered to stand with these incredible girls and women. Working on this book has changed us all, and we cannot wait to share it with the world."

Among the celebrities featured in the book are musicians, actors, and TV personalities, such as Brandi Carlile, Rosanne Cash, Cyndi Lauper, Debra Messing, Carol Burnett, and Alicia Silverstone, Brooke Baldwin, and Soledad O'Brien.

Captivating the star-studded audience was a an equally star-packed runway, though causing quite the stir was the appearance of an unexpected model who not only brought it for the show, but made everyone take notice – and gladly so – what turning a fresh-looking corner can look like.

Macaulay Culkin's Look

Giving his elusive ex-child star persona a night off, Macaulay Culkin, the 41-year-old actor and new dad embodied the essence of the love letter to Hollywood-themed vision of creative director Alessandro Michele, with a suave yet purposeful glide down the street-set runway. NFL Rumors: Patriots' Mac Jones Is Already Making Enemies Around The League

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 02:05 PM PST

From a football standpoint, New England Patriots rookie Mac Jones has had a pretty decent start to his career.

Thus far, he's thrown for 21,35 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions while completing 68.0% of his passes.

The Patriots are 5-4 for the season and have a shot at taking down the Buffalo Bills at the top of the AFC East.

But when it comes to his reputation, it seems like the Alabama product has already pissed off some colleagues around the league.

Haason Redick Says Jones Is Dirty

Jones grabbed Panthers' Brian Burns leg after a sack and appeared to twist it. Burns had to leave the game but Jones wasn't called for a penalty.

However, his teammate Haason Reddick didn't hesitate to call out the rookie for that dangerous play:

"Definitely thought it was a dirty play,'' Reddick told ESPN.

"I actually saw and witnessed the play while it was happening. At first, it felt like he was trying to trip or kick Burns. And the next thing you know I saw him tugging on Burns' ankle. I thought it was completely dirty. Hopefully, it's something the league addresses.''

Jones Says He Didn't Try To Make A Dirty Play

Jones denied those accusations by saying that he didn't really know what was happening and he just wanted to make a tackle:

"After I got hit pretty hard, I didn't really know exactly what was going on. I thought he had the ball and it was my job to try and make the tackle. That was pretty much it," Jones said, as reported by CBS.

"And you know, obviously when you get up and you see the ball is actually down the field a little bit more … it was just a bang-bang play and I didn't mean to hurt anybody or anything like that. I was just trying to tackle him and make the play. Because you know, I didn't really know what was going on."

Brian Burns Also Called Him Out

The Panthers aren't buying that story, though. Burns recently addressed the media and said that the league should've taken action against Jones for that play:

"Even if you thought I had the ball, it's not legal to trip somebody or to leg-sweep somebody, let alone twist ankles," Burns said, per Boston.com. "It's not legal to do that. And everybody else ran past us. If I had the ball, don't you think I'd be getting tackled or your teammate would help? So I don't think it's cool, but it's whatever."

Panthers DL Wishes Rivals A 'Happy Hunting' On Mac Jones

Burns said that he knows that neither Jones nor the Patriots will apologize for the dirty play, and went as far as to with his fellow pass-rusher 'happy hunting' on Mac Jones:

"They're not going to hit me up," he said. "… It would be nice to have an apology. It would be nice to have an apology, but it's not going to happen. However the NFL handles it is on them. I would just like to play them again. I wish all my [defensive end] brothers happy hunting. That's all."

Whether other players will take Burns' words literally or not, that's yet to be seen. But that's not how you want to get your career started.

NBA Rumors: Jaylen Brown To Sixers, Karl-Anthony Towns To Celtics In Suggested Three-Way Blockbuster

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 01:39 PM PST

After the Boston Celtics were linked to Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons, rumors have started to swirl around Jaylen Brown and his future in the NBA. In the potential deal that would send Simmons to Beantown, the Sixers are reportedly demanding a package that is centered on Brown. Unfortunately, despite their interest in Simmons, the Celtics have no plan of giving up the former third overall pick.

That isn't surprising since, as of now, most people would agree that Brown is a better player than Simmons.

Proposed Three-Team Trade Involving Jaylen Brown

However, the Celtics could change their mind about keeping Brown if they are presented with an opportunity to land a legitimate superstar. In a recent article, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report came up with a hypothetical three-team blockbuster trade idea featuring Brown, Simmons, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Celtics would get Towns, the Sixers would receive Brown and Patrick Beverley, while the Timberwolves would obtain Simmons, Robert Williams III, Matisse Thybulle, Jaden Springer, and a 2022 first-round pick. If the trade becomes a reality, it would help the Celtics, Sixers, and the Timberwolves in filling up the needs to improve on their roster.

Celtics Pair Jayson Tatum With Karl-Anthony Towns

The Celtics shouldn't mind parting ways with Brown since they would be getting the best player in the deal. Towns doesn't only perfectly fit Jayson Tatum's timeline, but he could also be a much better superstar running mate for him than Brown.

Towns would significantly improve the Celtics' frontcourt. He would give them an All-Star center, a very reliable scorer, a monster rebounder, a quality rim protector, and an efficient floor-spacer. This season, he's averaging 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from beyond the arc, per ESPN.

Sixers Finally Land Jaylen Brown Plus Patrick Beverley

With the help of the Timberwolves, the Sixers would finally swap Simmons for Brown. Brown would give the Sixers another young star who would complement Joel Embiid on the court. Unlike Simmons, Brown is capable of knocking down shots from beyond the arc which would allow Embiid to focus more on dominating under the basket.

The Sixers aren't expected to miss Simmons' defense since they would also receive Beverley in the potential deal. Though he's not an All-Star, Beverley is one of the league's best perimeter defenders.

Timberwolves Overhaul Roster In Post KAT-Era

Meanwhile, engaging in a three-team blockbuster trade with the Sixers and the Celtics would make a lot of sense for the Timberwolves if Towns expresses his desire to leave. Instead of keeping an unhappy superstar in Minnesota, the Timberwolves could turn him into a young All-Star in Simmons, three promising prospects in Williams III, Thybulle, and Springer, and a future draft asset.

"Simmons' playmaking could help bring this group together, and he would work some open-court miracles with Edward," Buckley wrote. "Williams could slide into Towns' former spot and inject the middle with defensive versatility and underrated distributing. Matisse Thybulle would give the Wolves one of the most disruptive wing defenders in the Association, while Jaden Springer and the draft pick would give the franchise a couple of long-term wild cards."

Kaley Cuoco In 'The Flight Attendant' Season 2: Conflict With New Cast Member?

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 11:05 AM PST

Kaley Cuoco is currently filming The Flight Attendant season 2 and there are new cast members who will be joining the star.

Cuoco plays troubled flight attendant Cassie Bowden, who got caught up in a murder mystery in the first season.

The HBO Max series was well-received by the public and has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Thanks to the success of the first season, it didn't take long for the network to renew the show.

Cuoco will be working with new cast members but is there tension on the set?

Scroll down for more on this story.

How Is Cassie Bowden In Season 2?

Last season, Cassie was a bit of a mess. Dealing with a murder mystery and drinking problems simultaneously definitely wasn't easy for her mental health.

According to Cuoco, Cassie will be living a sober life in the upcoming season but will still be dealing with a lot of challenges that come with her new lifestyle.

"She definitely going to be trying to live a sober life while still trying to be who she was," Cuoco said in an interview.

"And I think that's what she's going to struggle with the most. 'Am I the same person I was before? Or are people going to like me? Am I still fun?"

Alanna Ubach Joining Kaley Cuoco In 'The Flight Attendant'

Aside from Cassie's new lease on life, the show will also be adding new characters to the mix.

One of the names that have been confirmed for season 2 is Alanna Ubach, who was seen in Euphoria and Legally Blonde.

She will be playing "Carol Atkinson, also known as Black Market Carol, a perfectly groomed, icy flight attendant who is not a fan of Cassie."

It looks like Cassie will be clashing with this pretty brunette in the upcoming season.

Kaley Cuoco's Relationship With Her Co-stars

While Cassie may have found herself some competition in "Black Market Carol", Kaley Cuoco has no bad blood with her castmates.

In fact, the actress has been actively posting their bonding sessions on Instagram. New additions to the cast include Mo McRae, Callie Hernandez and JJ Soria. Returning are series regulars Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez.

'The Flight Attendant' Season 2 Plot

What's next for Cassie? Reportedly, there will be another murder mystery to solve. Cassie will also be taking a small side gig in the CIA.

"When an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue," according to the streamer.

"We have had a very clear path for what a Season 2 would look like and we know exactly what it'll look like, and we hope we'll get the opportunity to do that," Cuoco shared.

Best Bedtime For A Healthy Heart, According To Study

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:35 AM PST

Nothing beats a good quality sleep -- but heart-smart people should also be mindful of the time they go to bed, reveals a new study.

As it turns out, falling asleep past a certain interval can significantly increase your risk of heart disease, researchers from London health tech company Huma have discovered.

Those with an earlier bedtime aren't much better off either, the new study published Tuesday in the European Heart Journal — Digital Health has uncovered. Keep scrolling to find out what the heart-health sweet spot for falling asleep is.

Best Bedtime

According to the new research, the best time to go to sleep heart-health-wise is between 10 and 11 p.m. This goes for both sexes, although there is a bit of a difference -- we'll get into that in a bit. Falling asleep any later, whether it's within an hour or more, increases the cardiovascular risk by different percentages, depending on how late you turn it.

Specifically, a bedtime between 11 and 11:59 p.m. raises the risk of heart disease by 12 percent, with the percentage jumping to 25 for those dozing off at or after midnight. Meanwhile, falling asleep before 10 p.m. ups the cardiovascular risk by 24 percent.

"The body has a 24-hour internal clock, called circadian rhythm, that helps regulate physical and mental functioning," explained neuroscientist David Plans, study co-author and head of research at Huma. "While we cannot conclude causation from our study, the results suggest that early or late bedtimes may be more likely to disrupt the body clock, with adverse consequences for cardiovascular health."

Sleep Data

These results were obtained through an extensive analysis of biomedical data from a little over 88,000 adults with an average age of 61, who were tracked for a period of around six years. The data came from UK Biobank, a biomedical database hosting information about more than 500,000 volunteers aged 37 to 73 and recruited between 2006 and 2010, NBC is reporting.

For the purpose of this study, the authors used data gathered from accelerometers the participants wore on their wrists for seven days, which recorded when they moved and helped gauge their bedtime and waking up schedule.

As the authors point out in their paper, "accelerometers provide an alternative tool for measuring sleep parameters objectively," as opposed to questionnaires, which is the standard method in sleep research.

Women Vs. Men

During the six-year follow-up period, 3.6 percent of volunteers suffered cardiovascular events, such as strokes, heart attacks, or heart failure. According to the study, the highest number of cardiovascular incidents occurred in people falling asleep at midnight or later. Conversely, the lowest number was recorded in those with a 10-10:59 p.m. bedtime.

Interestingly enough, there was a notable difference in the bedtime linked to the greater heart risk for men and women. In women, the cardiovascular risk was higher for volunteers going to bed later. However, in men, the situation was reversed, with the risk being more pronounced in those falling asleep before 10 p.m.

Sleep & Cardiovascular Disease

The findings reinforce the knowledge that sleep is a risk factor in cardiovascular disease, points out Dr. Francoise Marvel, an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, who was not involved in the study. Just like bedtime, sleep duration is also important, previous research indicates.

According to the American Heart Association, people who sleep less than six hours are at risk for hypertension, which is a major cardiovascular risk factor.

Nevertheless, "there is no evidence to suggest at this point that improving sleep will effectively reduce cardiovascular events," says Marvel, who is co-director of the Johns Hopkins Digital Health Lab.

"Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the most significant cause of mortality worldwide, with an estimated 18.6 million deaths each year," the Huma researchers write in their paper.

"Evidence suggests circadian rhythm disruption could be an understudied risk factor for CVD, and that prolonged misalignment of circadian rhythms is associated with elevated blood pressure, reduced sleep quality, increased risk for cardiovascular disorders, and may also stimulate atherosclerosis, providing a possible biological mechanism for increased cardiovascular risk," they show in the study.

Eric Adams Urges Fellow Democrats To Condemn BLM Leader

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:25 AM PST

Thousands of Americans took to the streets in the summer of 2020, protesting the murder of George Floyd and demanding an end to police brutality.

Floyd was killed by Minnesota Police Department officer Derek Chauvin, who knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes.

There were protests in virtually every major city in the United States, including New York City, where the government disbanded plainclothes units.

NYC Mayor-elect Eric Adams has vowed to bring back the unit, however, prompting criticism from progressive activists.

BLM Leader Slams Adams

Hawk Newsome, the co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York, slammed Adams for promising to reintroduce plainclothes.

In an interview with New York Daily News, he said that "there will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed" if Adams follows through.

Newsome said that Adams' promise "made me think about the death of Eric Garner, it made me think about the death of Breonna Taylor, it made me think of the death of George Floyd."

"And to think that Eric Adams is legitimately wanting to put our children in danger -- it scares me," he added.

Adams' Response

Adams said on Friday that he stands by his words, and added that he has "no idea" why Democratic politicians haven't condemned Newsome's remarks.

"I think that this is an excellent moment for the local and state and federal Democratic Party to state: We could have justice without violence," Adams said.

"National, state and city electeds should stand up and say, 'we will never allow anyone to make those comments,' that there will be blood in our streets, because you know where that blood ends up? In the streets of our community," he added.

'Smoke And Mirrors'

Responding to Adams, Newsome said that the mayor-elect should focus on the issue at hand, instead of calling on other Democrats to condemn an activists.

"So he wants to make this a political circus. What I want is to stick to the issue -- what's the plan?" Newsome asked.

Though Adams wants to bring back plainclothes units, he has also said that it is imperative to ensure they aren't staffed with "bad apple" cops.

According to Newsome, the mayor doesn't actually have a real plan.

"Instead of talking about the issues, he is seeking to discredit an organization that has served the community. This is smoke and mirrors to cover up for the fact that he doesn't have an actual articulate plan," he said.

de Blasio Chimes In

Outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio, who disbanded plainclothes units, said on WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show that he disagrees with Adams.

"Commissioner Shea -- who has been at this work now for, you know, most of 30 years -- he felt that the unit as constructed was not only creating a disconnect with communities, and ill will and some bad incidents," de Blasio said, as reported by Spectrum News.

"He thought it was also not the best way to get guns off the street and the best way to have successful prosecutions. And he wanted more of those officers in uniform -- same talented officers, doing the work a different way," he added.

Wisconsin National Guard Activated As Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Nears End

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 10:03 AM PST

Seventeen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse wounded one and killed two people in the streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin on August 25.

The incident was caught on camera, garnering unprecedented attention from members of the press and the American public at large.

Charged with multiple counts of homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm, Rittenhouse claims he acted in self defense when he shot the rioters.

Rittenhouse's trial began earlier this month, and will most likely end next week. The authorities, meanwhile, appear to be bracing for riots.

Read more below.

Wisconsin Activates National Guard

As The New York Post reported, around 500 Wisconsin National Guard troops have been activated in anticipation of unrest.

As Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers explained, the troops will be on standby outside Kenosha and respond "if requested by local law enforcement" in the event of riots or unrest.

Evers added that the troops will be operating "in conjunction with hundreds of officers from volunteering law enforcement agencies."

"We continue to be in close contact with our partners at the local level to ensure the state provides support and resources to help keep the Kenosha community and greater area safe," he said.

More Below

Evers also said that people from other parts of America should cancel any plans to travel to Kenosha, describing the local community as "strong" and "resilient."

"The Kenosha community has been strong, resilient, and has come together through incredibly difficult times these past two years, and that healing is still ongoing," Evers stated.

'I urge folks who are otherwise not from the area to please respect the community by reconsidering any plans to travel there and encourage those who might choose to assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights to do so safely and peacefully," he added.

Mobilizing National Guard

Evers previously mobilized the National Guard in January this year following the Kenosha County District Attorney's announcement that he will not charge Rusten Sheskey, the officer who shot Jacob Blake.

Blake, a 29-year-old black man, was shot in the back seven times, per CNN. Blake survived, but was left paralyzed from the waist down.

The Blake shooting polarized the nation, with some accusing Sheskey of white supremacy and police brutality, and others claiming that the officer was just doing his job and well within his rights to shoot Blake.

Rittenhouse Trial

Rittenhouse's trial has also polarized the public, with liberals demanding Rittenhouse be sentenced and conservatives claiming he acted in self defense.

As The Inquisitr reported, NBA star LeBron James recently made waves when he suggested that Rittenhouse faked crying at his trial to garner sympathy.

"What tears????? I didn't see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court," James tweeted.

Conservative politicians, media figures, pundits, and activists were quick to condemn the Los Angeles Lakers' small forward, with some accusing him of bullying a teenager.

Donald Trump Defends Supporters Who Wanted To 'Hang' Mike Pence

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 09:50 AM PST

On January 6 this year, a large group of former President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the United States Capitol building in order to stop the certification of 2020 election results and block Democrat Joe Biden from assuming the presidency.

Incited by Trump's baseless claims that the election was rigged, the violent rioters clashed with security forces and threatened then-Vice President Mike Pence.

Some of them even chanted "hang Mike Pence!" as they stormed the Capitol. According to Trump, that wasn't such a big deal.

Pence's Role

Trump has long claimed that Pence had the authority to overturn election results by sending votes back to states, despite constructional scholars and the former vice president himself saying he had no such powers.

But rioters believed the former president, and were apparently so furious at Pence for certifying Biden's win that they wanted to hang him.

ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl spoke with Trump about these threats against Pence's life. A key part of the conversation was shared this week with the press.

Read more below.

The Interview

As reported by Axios, Karl asked Trump whether he was worried about Pence's safety during the chaotic riots.

"No, I thought he was well-protected, and I had heard that he was in good shape" the former president replied.

"Because you heard those chants -- that was terrible," Karl noted.

"He could have -- well, the people were very angry," Trump countered.

"They were saying 'hang Mike Pence," the reporter pointed out.

Trump then gave a shocking response, appearing to justify the rioters' violent actions.

Transcript below.

Trump's Response

Trump told Karl that "it's common sense, Jon. It's common sense that you're supposed to protect."

"How can you -- if you know a vote is fraudulent, right? -- how can you pass on a fraudulent vote to Congress? How can you do that?" the former president asked.

"And I'm telling you: 50/50, it's right down the middle for the top constitutional scholars when I speak to them. Anybody I spoke to -- almost all of them at least pretty much agree, and some very much agree with me -- because he's passing on a vote that he knows is fraudulent. How can you pass a vote that you know is fraudulent?" he continued.

Pence Distanced Himself From Trump

This summer, Pence distanced himself from Trump.

Speaking at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, the former vice president said he was "proud" to certify Biden's win, per The New York Times.

"I will always be proud that we did our part on that tragic day to reconvene the Congress and fulfilled our duty under the Constitution and the laws of the United States," Pence said.

"The truth is, there is almost no idea more un-American than the notion that any one person could choose the American president," he added.

'Love Life' Season 2 Finale: Did Marcus Get His Happy Ending?

Posted: 13 Nov 2021 09:20 AM PST

William Jackson Harper has won fans' hearts with his role as Marcus in Love Life and everyone just wants him to have his happy ending.

The second season of the HBO Max series shifted from Darby to Marcus - a 30-something newly-divorced guy who is navigating the dating world again.

With lots of challenges and even a pandemic getting in the way, it wasn't easy for Marcus to find love again. His story's ending isn't the perfect romance but creators thought it was more fitting for the character.

The Character Was Built Around William Jackson Harper

Creator Sam Boyd revealed in an interview that he has always been a fan of William Jackson Harper and built the character around him.

"For me, it really just started with Will. Having that blank slate, we had such a unique opportunity to build this character study around an actor who's really exciting to us." Boyd explained.

Will was actually considered as one of the love interests for Anna Kendrick's Darby in season 1 but they ended up making him the lead in season 2, which worked even better.

Did Marcus And Mia End Up Together?

It took a few episodes for Marcus and Mia to finally get together but their first try at a relationship didn't really last long. Later on, Marcus finds himself reconnecting to Mia again, after some time on his own first.

According to the showrunners, they wanted Marcus to face himself and be alone first and spend time looking inward before taking the next step.

"The ending is fitting because it shows their growth in that love is a choice. Like, you're actively choosing to love your partner and I think it says a lot about Mia's growth."

Darby Makes A Small Appearance

As Marcus and Mia finally make the commitment, Darby makes a small but significant appearance to remind Marcus that everything was going to be fine.

After a time jump, we see Marcus and Mia start their family but the new baby and Marcus' new book make things more complicated. In a fateful encounter, Darby reassures Marcus that "it's all worth it."

Darby's small appearance are the creators' way of giving the audience a feel of the show's "shared universe".

Will There Be A 'Love Life' Season 3?

Now, fans want to know - will there be a Love Life season 3?

The first two seasons were a hit and it is likely that the show will get a third installment, although there have been no confirmations yet.

There could be a possibility of a more diversified cast in the next season and even a lead from the LGBTQ community. Executive producer Paul Feig once hinted that possibility.

"We want to tell stories about people whose voices aren't normally heard."
