Tenisha Warner, the widow of beloved actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, has taken to social media to confirm her identity and share a major announcement about her husband's legacy. It's the first time the actor's wife has spoken out since her husband's tragic drowning death at 54 in July.

Sharing a photo of the couple's wedding, Tenisha spoke candidly about the loss of her husband, who rose to superstardom as Theo Huxtable on the iconic TV sitcom, The Cosby Show. While also noting that Saturday marks the couple's wedding anniversary, Tenisha shared that she and her daughter are launching the Warner Family Foundation and River & Ember.

"Thank you for holding us in so much love during this tender time. Tomorrow marks our anniversary — and my heart is wide open. For the first time, I'm sharing a glimpse of the love that began it all. I can still hear my husband's laugh, still feel the way he made room for every part of me — every tear, every dream. Today, in his honor, my daughter and I are launching River & Ember and officially opening The Warner Family Foundation," Tenisha shared.

The Warner Family Foundation supports "the next generation of poets, painters, musicians, performers, and interdisciplinary creators whose work carries courage, freedom, and authenticity," according to its website. River & Ember is a seasonal digital toolkit designed to nurture children and bring families closer.

"Together we carry the legacy my husband and I began— one that nurtures children's inner light and gives young artists the freedom to create outside the lines. This is love, Still moving. Still making. Still carrying us forward," she concluded.

Warner appears in a new two-part HBO documentary, Seen & Heard: The History of Black Television, one of his final onscreen appearances before his death. In the doc, the star recalled his audition for The Cosby Show.

"I killed in the room," he shared, Entertainment Weekly reported. "I was getting the laughs, and I'm 13, I'm killing in the room. And I finished my audition, and everybody was smiling — except Mr. Cosby."

Warner recalled how Cosby reacted.

"He looked at me and he said, 'Would you really talk to your father like that?'" Warner remembered. "And I said, 'No.' He said, 'Well, I don't want to see that on this show.'"

Warner followed Cosby's advice and went on to become the older brother everyone in America loved.
