CeeDee Lamb came out of the Dallas Cowboys' season opener with some regrets.
The All-Pro wide receiver addressed his multiple drops, including two in the fourth quarter of a 24-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, with reporters on Thursday, saying they haunted him in the days after the game, via ESPN's Todd Archer:
"I didn't get any rest really that whole weekend," Lamb said. "Again, that's the competitor that I am and how much I'm true to the game as far as being honest and just giving it everything I got because I do love this game, I love this squad, and I love the guys that I do it with. As for me, just holding my end of the bargain and just pulling through for the guys."
Lamb finished the game with seven catches and 110 receiving yards on 13 targets, but was credited with four drops by Pro Football Focus. His last two were quite costly for the Cowboys, whose final drive ended with a turnover on downs at midfield.

Lamb reportedly texted an apology to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after the game, with Prescott responding "I'm not going to stop throwing you the ball. That's the game … nobody, I especially, I'm not going to lose confidence."
The next day, video of Lamb catching passes from a Jugs machine on what was supposed to be an off day went viral. Lamb said Thursday that workout was supposed to be private:
"That wasn't supposed to go viral. I wasn't doing that for no internet, to be honest," Lamb said. "So I came in on a day when nobody was in the building, and I still caught a camera. I didn't even know that the camera was there. Shout out to them. As for me bro, it's going back to my fundamentals. I know what it is. I know what to do. Again, it's Game 1, we got 16 more of these."
Lamb's first chance for redemption will come Sunday against the New York Giants. It will take more than a few drops for the Cowboys to stop using him as the focal point of their offense.
