Amid a rash of quarterback injuries across the NFL including a toe injury that's expected to sideline Joe Burrow of the Bengals for most if not all of the season, the trade market for Kirk Cousins is reportedly cool.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, none of the five teams dealing with quarterback injuries in Week 3 have called the Atlanta Falcons to inquire about Cousins.

Burrow, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy and Jets quarterback Justin Fields are all sidelined for Week 3. Of the injuries, only Burrow's is expected to be long-term.

The asking price for Cousins, meanwhile, is high, according to the report. Per Rapoport, the Falcons would ask for a premium draft pick in return for Cousins and expect a trade partner to take on a significant portion of his salary. Cousins is playing on the second-year of a four-year, $180 million contract, a prohibitive price to pay for a backup quarterback.

Cousins struggled last season after joining the Falcons from the Minnesota Vikings. He threw a league-high 16 interceptions while his yards per attempt dropped to 6.95, the lowest of his career as a full-time starter.

Considering the asking price and Cousins' contract, the Bengals are realistically the only team that could even entertain trading for Cousins. But he got benched for a reason in Atlanta, and the Bengals are content for now to run with backup Jake Browning.
