Team USA Finishes 2024 Paris Olympics with Most Medals of Any Country with 126-Plus 40 Golds!

Team USA is leaving the 2024 Paris Olympics with a ton of extra hardware. Just as they did in the 2020 Tokyo Games, American athletes took home more medals than any other country, finishing the Games on Sunday, Aug. 11 with 126 medals. Of those medals, 40 are gold, which ties Team USA with China for most gold medals. China trailed the U.S. with 91 medals total, and Great Britain came in third with 65 medals.

USA Gymnastics says they have video evidence that will prove Jordan Chiles deserves to keep her bronze medal. "USA Gymnastics on Sunday formally submitted a letter and video evidence to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, conclusively establishing that Head Coach Cecile Landi's request to file an inquiry was submitted 47 seconds after the publishing of the score, within the 1-minute deadline required by FIG rule," the federation said in a statement shared with PEOPLE on Aug.
