Are Demi Lovato and Noah Cyrus Dating?

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 09:48 AM PST

Demi Lovato and Noah Cyrus sparked dating rumors throughout the first half of 2021 after getting close following a music collaboration, but it's uncertain where they are now.

The pair were spotted hanging out several times, including getting cozy at the Space Jam: A New Legacy premiere in late June, leading fans to speculate that they were making more than music together.

While Lovato, 29, came out as non-binary back in May, Noah, who is Miley Cyrus' younger sister and turns 22 on January 8, hasn't publicly labeled her sexuality, although the All Falls Down artist was reportedly linked to Bella Thorne's ex Tana Mongeau at one point.

Here's what went down between Lovato and Noah and whether there was any truth to the romance gossip.

Dating Rumors In March

Demi and Noah first got tongues wagging after spending time in the studio together back in March. The musical duo was busy recording "Easy" off of Demi's Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over album, with fans wondering if their apparent close bond was more than platonic.

While the original reports stated that they're just friends, one source shared with Page Six at the time that the singers were having a fling, saying "they're very close and have been hanging out."

However, an insider close to Lovato dispelled the rumors: "They have dinner sometimes, but they're not romantic. They got together for this song that sorta came together a bit last minute, and they hang out."

The source emphasized that the romance gossip was "weird" and that "they're not dating," but the rumor mill started churning again two months later after the duo performed their song at the YouTube Pride 2021 event alongside the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles. Check it out below.

Holding Hands In June

One week after the event, Lovato and Noah were photographed holding hands at the Space Jam 2 premiere party at Magic Mountain on June 28. In a leaked video, shared below, the pair was also seen laughing together on a couch, with Noah briefly resting her head on Lovato's shoulder.

As expected, the outing once again fueled rumors that the two might be hooking up, with a source telling E! News that they weren't "exclusively dating."

"They are not exclusively dating by any means," said the insider, clarifying that they were merely "hanging out" and "enjoying each other's company."

"They have been friends for a while but there is definitely a connection there," continued the source, saying the pair shared a "creative and spiritual bond" and "love that they can share their love for music with each other."

When the insider dished that the singers "have been leaning on each other for ideas and creativity," fans' focus shifted from a possible romance to another potential music collaboration, although nothing has happened yet in that regard.

Showing Love On Instagram

While their purported intention to make more songs together is still up in the air, Lovato and Noah did shower each other with love on social media following their "Easy" collaboration.

Shortly after their YouTube Pride 2021 performance, Lovato took to their Instagram page to post a photo of them and Noah holding each other close onstage.

"Thank you @noahcyrus for closing out the night w me for @youtube's pride 2021 celebration," they captioned the post, given below. "I'm so happy we finally got to sing our song together," added the Confident singer.

Noah was quick to comment on the photo, per Page Six: "thank you for having me ❤️❤️❤️ yiu [sic] were effortlessly perfect and im never not in awe of u 😢😢😢."

Unfollow In August

Not stopping there with the Insta love, the "Make Me (Cry)" singer shared a video from their performance on her own account, writing: "Proud and honored to have performed 'Easy' for @youtube's #pride2021 event alongside @ddlovato and the @transchorusla."

Noah added a message for Lovato that read, "thank you for having me. I'm so proud of you and who you are." Check out the post below!

Given their public show of support, fans were taken aback when the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram less than two months later.

Just like before, some speculated that there must have been more to their friendship for them to break contact like that on the platform, while others inferred they were simply covering their tracks and deflecting attention away from their alleged romance.

People also rehashed the years-long feud between Lovato and Miley, pointing out the former's friendship with their frenemy's younger sister was "unexpected". Likewise, Lovato's brief 2009 relationship with Miley and Noah's older brother Trace Cyrus was revisited.

Also of note were Lovato's plans of remaining unattached, per the E! News insider.

"Demi has expressed they want to remain single but is a very open person about seeing where life takes them."

As such, it doesn't look like a romantic relationship has blossomed between Lovato and Noah, although some fans are likely still shipping them.

Thylane Blondeau Welcomes The New Year In Sexy Leather Red Dress

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 09:29 AM PST

One thing the "most beautiful girl in the world" would do is to take our breaths away in enthralling outfits. Although Thylane Blondeau was quiet at the tail-end of the last year, she opened 2022 with a bang! The young French model, who was recently spotted in a nude bikini with fiancé Benjamin Attal at the beach in Miami, treated her 4.8 million Instagram followers to multiple pictures of her beautiful face, stunning body and impeccable style.

Scroll for the slideshow.

Showing Off Her Body

In case you forgot, Thylane decided to remind fans and followers why she was named the most beautiful girl in the world at a young age. The 20-year-old model posed in a half-shot wearing a long-sleeved crop top over black panties. In the first slide, she accessorizes with a pair of dark sunshades.

Slide two brings a closer look into the face that captivated the world at age six. You can see Thylane's high cheekbones on one side, defined by contoured makeup, as her hair covers the other half of her face. The bare mid-riff hints at Thylane's toned abs, though you can't tell in the first slide unless you zoom in.

Lady In Red

In the picture of the moment, our lady in red calls in the New Year in a sultry outfit. The color red screams power, boldness, sexiness, and confidence, and Thylane nailed the theme. She lies on her side, supporting her weight with one hand on the bed as she holds a phone to ears on the other.

The dress has a high slit giving fans a sneak peek at her legs on the plain white sheet bed. The model ties her hair in a neat bun and wears minimal makeup, which is a signature at this point. The understated hairstyle and makeup draw attention to her fancy bra cup and thin strap bodice.

Keep scrolling for video.

Diving Into The New Year

On January 2, Blondeau shared a video of herself swimming with the sunset as the perfect backdrop. The video is a silhouette, so we see her perfect figure as she gracefully strikes some poses, with a beautiful reflection in the water, and removes her sunglasses before diving headfirst into the pool. Blondeau arches her back and raises her arms in a swan-like shape as she sways her hips in a teasing position. The short clip was viewed more than 275,000 times, garnering over 37,000 likes.

Partnering With Alisson Elalouf

Based on a series of Instagram posts, we surmise Blondeau's stylist and content director for 2022 is Allison Elalouf. Based on her Instagram, it seems the pair already have some magical collaborations, from the poolside video to the figure-flaunting black two-piece and now steamy red leather dress. With these three posts, Blondeau, who has her own clothing brand called No Smile Clothing, is off to a good start in 2022, and we look forward to seeing more from this new power duo.

Lakers To Make A Big Adjustment With LeBron James Even When Anthony Davis Is Back

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 08:45 AM PST

The Los Angeles Lakers have gone through a tough path lately.

With Anthony Davis out of the lineup, Frank Vogel and David Fitzdale have had to hit the drawing board over and over, even starting LeBron James at center.

LeBron, who had never played at the five throughout his illustrious career, has done an outstanding job at being the man in the middle thus far.

Then again, one would have to wonder how much his body can endure that physical burden at 37-years-old.

Frank Vogel Will Continue To Use LeBron James At Center

Even so, it seems like coach Vogel isn't ready to go back to his usual lineups.

Recently, he claimed that he's going to continue to start LeBron James at the five even when Anthony Davis is ready to come back from his injury:

"Frank Vogel just indicated that, with LA's success over the past month with center-less lineups, the Lakers will likely use Anthony Davis and LeBron James as their two primary centers once AD returns," reported Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

LeBron Wants To Take Tough Defensive Matchups

Playing at the five will require more physicality and enduring tougher matchups for the Lakers veteran, yet he won't shy away from the challenge and will do whatever it takes to help the purple and gold get back on track:

"Obviously, that has always been part of my objective or who I am as a basketball player to be able to take on matchups that help our ball club," James said after the game vs. the Timberwolves, per LakersNation.

Anthony Davis Hasn't Been Himself This Season

The Lakers haven't fared nearly half as well as they thought they'd do this season, and a lot of that has to do with Davis.

Even when he was healthy, he was rather passive on both ends of the floor and often settled for contested jumpers, shooting just 17.9% form beyond the arc.

Whether it's health-related or mental, the team needs Davis to go back to being the same two-way force he was when he first came from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Carmelo Anthony Has Been A Breath Of Fresh Air, Says LeBron

However, Carmelo Anthony has done an outstanding job of filling the void off the bench for the Lakers, with LeBron calling him a "breath of fresh air".

"He never gets too high, never gets too low… He's accepted who he is and he's great at it and I'm happy to finally say I get a chance to team with him for a season," LeBron said.

Anthony is averaging nearly 14 points on 42% shooting and has carried the team's stagnant offense through stretches, so it'll be interesting to see how his minutes stack up once Davis is back.

Hailey Bieber Celebrates The New Year With Cheeky Sexy Abs Picture

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 08:36 AM PST

It's a New Year, and everyone is in high spirits, including our favorite celebrities. Hailey Bieber, like many popular figures, took to Instagram to share her excitement with fans and followers alike. The supermodel posted a photo dump for her 40 million-plus followers, showing how she ushered in 2022. The six-slide post was the first of the year for the 25-year-old fashionista. Every picture is random, but it gives us a wholesome glimpse into Hailey's life and personality.

Scroll for the slideshow.

Hidden Treasures

The best part of photo dumps is the hidden treasure within a multi-slide post. You keep swiping until something exciting catches your attention mid-swipe - as a model, Hailey mastered this art. Nested in slide three is a hot bikini shot of the blonde beauty with a book in her lap.

The cover photo keeps fans unsuspecting as the beautiful model poses in boyfriend jeans and a dark black coat. She averts her face from the camera, directing her attention instead to a donkey behind a white picket fence. This pose has Hailey incognito, except that she posted it on her Insta feed.

Instagram Bookfluencer

Hailey is one of the emerging celebrity bookfluencers in Hollywood, and her bikini/abs post does a great job. You can see the rib lines on her belly as she angles slightly away from her chair. Her floral bikini accentuates her toned features so well, you can tell Hailey doesn't miss abs days.

Upon closer inspection, you can see the title of the novel in her lap, Seven Husbands by Evelyn Hugo. The positioning is perfect because your eyes travel directly to the open book from drooling over her toned abs. What an expert way to bookfluence!

Farmhouse Fun For The New Year

In slide two, Hailey's award-winning husband, Justin Bieber, makes an expected appearance in her photo dump. The cheerful couple poses for a monochrome selfie expressing their excitement showing perfect teeth in wide smiles. The Mrs cups her husband's face lovingly as they beam at the camera.

Kendall Jenner makes a rare appearance also in slide five as we see her and Hailey retreat towards a wooden farmhouse. The other featured shots include a beautiful pastry plate and a sheep. It appears the Biebers took a break from the hustle and bustle of city life to relax in the quiet of a country home.

New Year New Expectations

Having seen a glimpse of Hailey's "life lately," we can expect more fun projects this year. Her mood for entering 2022 screams chill, fun, and authentic. The model celebrated with her family, and friends including musician Justine Skye and fellow supermodel Kendall Jenner. All seems to be well with the friends, and we hope it remains so for a long time.

Why Halle Berry Thinks Zendaya Is The Next 'It' Girl

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 08:13 AM PST

Halle Berry is convinced that Hollywood's next big act is Zendaya. Speaking to Variety in December, the 55-year-old Bruised actress and director picked the former Disney Channel star for the magazine's "Up Next" in Hollywood segment, stating that the 25-year-old represents the future of the industry.

"She's going to write, direct and go further than I did in less time," Berry said of the Euphoria, Spider-Man, and Dune star, whom she praised as a "wildly talented" actress.

Read more below and scroll for Zendaya's reaction!

Next 'It' Girl

Detailing all the reasons why she thinks Zendaya is the next "It" girl, Berry pointed out that the 25-year-old's trailblazing Emmy award as the youngest Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series (HBO's Euphoria) speaks volumes of her talent and budding career.

"I've loved her in Malcolm & Marie," Berry told Variety. "It was so innovative. The honesty and simplicity of that work said to me the sky's the limit for her — and she's brave, not afraid to take chances, authentic, and wildly beautiful."

Giving Props

While Zendaya's stunning looks can't be denied, Berry made it a point to clarify that the young actress is "not relying" on her beauty to secure a career.

"She's not afraid not to be beautiful," said Berry. "I see her as an actress who will fight to be greater than her beauty. She's not relying on it. She's working hard as an actor, and she will take risks."

The John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum actress further gave props to the 2021 Emmy winner: "I think she will surprise us along the way. And I can't wait to see all the ways that she will surprise us and defy her beauty with her talent."

'Hopeful' For 'Younger Generations'

Talking about her own successful career, Berry, who made history in 2002 as the first Black woman to win an Oscar for Best Leading Actress with her role in Monster's Ball, said she's "hopeful that the younger generations, the ones coming behind me, will be able to take the ball that I leave them and carry it even farther."

While the Atlanta Black Star stated that Berry thinks Zendaya has what it takes to snag an Oscar herself, the Catwoman star remarked on the "heartbreak" of remaining the only black actress to hold that particular award in a January 2021 interview.

"I would have hoped that in 20 years, there would have been others that would be beside me," she said.

Zendaya's Reaction

Meanwhile, Zendaya felt "incredibly honored" to have been chosen by Berry as "Up Next" in Hollywood.

"She's always been so lovely and so supportive. Whenever I've run into her, she's always taken the time to stop and talk to me — and share love and words of encouragement. It means the world to me," the K.C. Undercover alumn told Variety.

Speaking about the imprint she hopes her career will have, Zendaya told British Vogue last year that, as a future director, she plans on providing lead opportunities for fellow Black actresses.

"If I ever do become a filmmaker, I know that the leads of my films will always be black women," she said in her October cover story.

The Greatest Showman actress had previously opened up about the image of Black women in entertainment at Beautycon NYC in 2018.

"I am Hollywood's acceptable version of a Black girl and that has to change," she said. "We're vastly too beautiful and too interesting for me to be the only representation of that."

Tara Lipinski Produces 'Meddling' Documentary Covering 2002 Winter Olympics Scandal

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 08:02 AM PST

Tara Lipinski recently announced her new project Meddling - a documentary covering the 2002 Winter Olympics scandal that rocked the world of figure skating.

The 39-year-old former skating pro has taken on the role of executive producer for the docuseries, set to air on Peacock TV on January 6 this year.

Husband Todd Kapostasy, who is a sports doc producer and director, partnered with her to make the project happen.

Scroll down for more on this story.

Tara's Instagram Announcement

Lipinski took to Instagram to share the exciting new project with her followers.

"I have loved jumping into this new role of executive producer. Now I'm hooked. ✨ This project has been in the making for quite some time. And many moments along the way I thought this next goal of ours was just a pipe dream but if you know me at all, you know I am not one to give up easily," Tara said in a teaser post featuring a clip of the new series.

The French Judge

Previously, Lipinski has already teased about the project, sharing a clip of the infamous French judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne, who found herself in the center of the scandal.

"As with all humans, Marie has many layers- complex and complicated layers. Her reflections 20 years later on the judging scandal are simply FASCINATING. And you can't help but feel all the conflicted emotions after seeing what a drastic turn her life took with that 20 second decision she made that night," Tara explained in a post.

2002 Salt Lake City Games Scandal

The 2002 Salt Lake City games scandal revolves around Canadian figure skaters Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, who controversially lost to skaters Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze of Russia.

During the live broadcast, sportscasters already announced that the Canadian pair had won their run but were quickly shocked after hearing the judges' marks. The audience was equally shocked and outraged by the result.

French judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne later admitted to being pressured by the skating organization to vote for the Russian pair, although she also recanted her statement.

Aftermath Of The Scandal

The scandal caused the figure skating's scoring and judging system to be completely overhauled, changing from a 6.0 system to a more objective ISU judging system.

The four-part documentary will tell the story of the Canadian figure skaters, as well as their Russian counterparts. Featuring a mix of archival footage and present-day interviews, including an intimate look at Le Gougne, viewers will be able to understand the controversy from beginning to end.

Salma Hayek Enjoys Poolside Coffee In Plunging Swimsuit

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 05:16 AM PST

Salma Hayek is in the world's most eye-popping and plunging swimsuit to enjoy her first coffee of 2022. The 55-year-old Hollywood superstar has already made headlines this year for her backless bikini action - offering up more of the hourglass curves, the MCU star updated her Instagram earlier this week with a poolside shot, marking the New Year and, it would seem, her first January 2022 caffeine kick.

Fans went wild as they left Salma over 1.5 million likes. See why below.

First Coffee Of 2022

Scroll for the snap, a stunning tropical one showing the Mexican on a chic poolside terrace and backed by greenery, distant hills, and water, plus a fluffy cloud backdrop. The Eternals star, going racy in leopard-print, flaunted her world-famous cleavage in a deep-cut and plunging bathing suit, folding her legs at a shiny coffee table and posing in shades with a mug of coffee.

Salma gazed rather dramatically ahead with one hand placed on her eyewear, then taking to her caption.

See The Photo Below

Addressing fans as she gained likes from Friends star Jennifer Aniston and Israeli actress Gal Gadot, Salma wrote: "First #coffee of the first #monday of the first month of a brand new year. 😎💫Primer café del primer lunes del primer mes del año nuevo #lunes #cafe."

The House of Gucci star, who doesn't name-drop brands too often, also shouted out French fashion house YSL, adding:"@ysl." The luxury brand is now all over celebrity Instagram, also boasting model Hailey Bieber as its main face. More after the snap.

Coffee, But Give Her A Juice Cleanse

Salma, who made 2020 headlines for a swimsuit-clad photo showing her "cafecito" little coffee, has opened up on wellness - she might caffeinate herself, but the actress loves a good cleanse.

"When I feel stressed, I turn to food for comfort," she's said. "After doing a juice cleanse, I'm motivated to eat healthier and not emotionally. Cleansing is like my meditation. It makes me stop, focus and think about what I'm putting into my body. I'm making a commitment to my health and hitting the reset button."

Admits She Lacks Discipline

Hayek has been admitting a struggle when it comes to losing the weight she gained for House of Gucci. She's also told People:

"Some people have the discipline to exercise in the morning, and I didn't develop that," adding:

"I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you're working the muscles."

Gymnast Nastia Liukin Opens Up About Olympic 'Pressure'

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 05:13 AM PST

Former athlete and current sports broadcaster Nastia Liukin is opening up about the "pressure" she felt as an Olympian and the lessons she's learned since retiring from gymnastics in 2012.

Speaking with People at the Tokyo Games in August, the five-time Olympic medalist and 2008 individual all-around champion looked back on her competing days, getting candid about the "nerves," stress, and high "expectations" that come with the territory.

Liukin, who was in Japan covering the Summer Games for NBC Sports, said that she's since learned she's not "defined by a medal," sharing the same message to Simone Biles amid the latter's difficult Tokyo Olympics.

Here's what she had to say.

Not 'Defined By A Medal'

Reflecting on her own time as an Olympian, Liukin acknowledged the intense "pressure of knowing that you're representing an entire nation" experienced by all athletes competing for the podium.

"It's hard to not put pressure on yourself just because you know that you've trained your whole entire life essentially for almost this one goal and this one dream," she said. "And so, there're nerves, there's pressure, there are expectations..."

"I obviously can't speak on behalf of everybody, but I know for me specifically, I really just wanted to make everybody proud and it was far more beyond the final result."

Liukin, who was 22 when she retired from the sport, has since had a lot of time to process everything.

"I realized that's not the case — we will never be defined by a medal or a medal count or a job title, a salary, a relationship, any of those things," shared the 32-year-old former gymnast.

Her Message To Simone Biles

Speaking about Biles' decision to withdraw from the Olympics and focus on her mental health, Liukin said the 24-year-old athlete was "setting such an incredible example for not only this generation, but so many generations to come."

Drawing from her personal experience, Liukin told People that Biles "doesn't need to do anything else out there for anybody to be more proud," adding: "She's already inspired millions and millions and millions of people."

At the same time, the former Team USA member touched on "the importance of making sure that you prioritize your mental health and that you prioritize your safety."

Liukin had previously expressed similar thoughts in an open letter to Biles following the latter's choice to bow out of the Tokyo Games after experiencing a bout of "twisties," or loss of air awareness, during an event.

"Thank you for showing the depth of who you are beyond an athlete as a leader, role model, mental health warrior, and person," Liukin wrote on social media, adding that Biles was "epitomizing what the next generation of role models should be."

"You came here as a gymnast, and you're leaving as a hero," she said.

See her post below.

Opening Up On Instagram

Liukin, who shared regular updates from Tokyo on her Instagram feed throughout the competition, spoke about what the Games have meant and still mean to her as she posed next to the Olympic rings.

"To some, these rings might just mean the largest sporting event in the world - but when I look at them I see so much more than just an event - I see years and years of sacrifice, hard work, and dedication. countless hours spent honing a craft and a passion in a way that so few on this earth are able to do," she wrote back on July 23.

The post continued: "I see strength, greatness, hope, and honor. I see the faces of every athlete who has come before us, and every athlete who will proceed us. it's a family, an unspoken bond…"

Check it out below!

Covering The Tokyo Games

Circling back to her People interview, Liukin shared that, while she's hung up the tight slippers for nearly a decade, it's been "rewarding" to be back at the Olympics as a sports commentator.

"For me to be able to be here and be part of the coverage and especially knowing that no families, no fans, nobody is here, we are trying our absolute best to just be able to bring back the coverage to the families and to the fans back at home," she said.

Erika Jayne Flaunts New 'Inches' In Dagger Stilettos

Posted: 04 Jan 2022 04:52 AM PST

Erika Jayne is quite literally showing off her new "inches" - and it isn't just the shoes. The 50-year-old Bravo star made headlines ahead of the New Year for announcing she's branching into business - joining the likes of Lisa Rinna and Porsha Williams in running her own show, Erika is bringing shoppers her own range of hair extensions.

A 2022 Instagram share is now seeing Erika show off her poker-straight and platinum blonde "inches." Of course, it's the fake hair, here.

New Year, New Inches

Scroll for the photos. December marked the RHOBH star announcing her new Pretty Mess Hair brand. Posting last night, Erika posed all fierce and from a studio while crouching down and flaunting her animal-print style. The singer and ex to Tom Girardi rocked a sweeping and statement leopard-print coat matching the world's highest pair of stilettos heels - fans also saw Erika in tight black pants.

A massive hair flick from an artificial wind machine drew the eye to Erika's long locks - see her caption after the photo.

Addressing fans, the reality star wrote: "Inches, you can get some too. PRETTYMESSHAIR." Erika's Instagram handle is @theprettymess. Her post gained likes from actress Jamie Lynn Spears, Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley, plus fellow Bravo face and beauty founder, Lisa Rinna.

"I have worn every type of hair extension on and off stage, and on TV for over a decade," Erika told People last month. "So I know what I love and works best for all situations. You name it, I've worn it!"

'No Permanent Commitment'

Erika, who very much ended her "permanent commitment" by divorcing husband Tom after 20 years, added:

"There is not a 'look' I will not try because the great thing about extensions is that you can quickly and quite easily take them out and still have your original hair. No permanent commitment, which makes it fun!"

She continued: "Beautiful hair immediately makes me feel pretty and as if I can take on the world! Nothing is quite as powerful as a luscious mane of hair."

Reality = Business

If you spotted Savannah Chrisley's name further up, she's running a brand, too - 2020 marked the launch of SASSY by Savannah cosmetics. Erika joins the long list of celebs running their own brands, from Bravo's Bethenny Frankel and her Skinnygirl to Jessica Alba and her Honest line.

Of course, the moguls are now household names - Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Rihanna are all billionaires thanks to their savvy business moves.

Eileen Gu Opens Up About TikTok Diets And Her Own Eating Habits

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 09:26 PM PST

Eileen Gu is all about healthy eating but has a warning against fad diets, particularly those on TikTok. The 18-year-old Chinese-American freestyle skier is a Beijing 2022 medal favorite and has a budding career in modeling as well, and she naturally has to keep fit for both jobs. In an interview with The New York Times, she said, "Diet is something I definitely think about as an athlete and a model. In both of my jobs, my body does the work."

Keep scrolling to read her views on dieting.

Struggles With Eating

Gu says she's "naturally very lean." Although one would think that is ideal for an Olympic athlete and model, she admits she used to have struggles with eating. "Being skinny isn't really that great if it's compromising your strength," she said in her interview. "I just wasn't eating enough, or I wasn't eating the right way. I was counting calories and thinking about food all the time."

It didn't help that she got lured into TikTok diet trends at the start of the pandemic. See the details below.

Influenced By TikTok

Said trends detailed what TikTokers ate every day, which Gu said were "all disorders!" Some of them were almost starving themselves (one was actually subsisting on one piece of bread a day) and the athlete began to think she was eating too much compared to them. "It wasn't even so much that I wanted to look like those girls, but I realized later that I was truly being influenced by them," she said.

It's astounding that young women would actually try to one-up each other with unhealthy diets, but such is the competitive culture among teenage girls.

Diet Change

Fortunately, the freeski sensation, who's competing for China in the upcoming Winter Olympics, realized there was something wrong with those diet trends. After her sponsor Red Bull hired a nutritionist for her, Gu started a healthier diet. "I definitely eat more now — I'm 5-foot-8 and 120 pounds — and I'm eating about 2,000 calories a day. It's really a maintenance level for me, and then sometimes I need to eat more," she said.

While training in Austria recently, the X Games gold medalist had a blood test which turned out great.

Happier And Healthier

If you're wondering what she eats exactly, she says she keeps "everything in balance," specifically "red meat three days a week, and then…fish or plant protein." After her diet change, Gu noted that nothing changed in terms of her weight and appearance. "I look the exact same. The numbers on the scale are the exact same. But I feel so much happier and healthier. Today I spent four hours on the halfpipe. It was closed for training, so I couldn't take the lift and had to hike up each time. That's pretty tiring. But I felt great."

Dak Prescott Fires Bold Warning As Cowboys Get Ready For The Playoffs

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 02:05 PM PST

The Dallas Cowboys couldn't get the job done in what most people around the NFL thought would be the ultimate reality check for them.

After dominating subpar teams for the past couple of weeks, they had to face an Arizona Cardinals team craving a win after three straight losses.

The Cardinals hung on to a 25-22 lead and Kyler Murray improved his record in the AT&T Stadium to 8-0. Arizona limited Dak Prescott to just 226 yards, although he did throw for three touchdowns.

Mike McCarthy Isn't Worried

Even if the Cowboys failed to live up to their toughest task yet, coach Mike McCarthy doesn't feel like it was a measuring stick kind of game:

"I didn't view it as a measuring stick (game)," McCarthy said, per The Athletic. "I think we know who we are, and I think we have confidence that we can win any game, anywhere. I think we've illustrated that so far this season."

"Our focus was tight, it was about winning and improving. Our penalties were too high, time of possession (was an issue), and they made, frankly, a couple of more big plays than we did," McCarthy added.

Dak Prescott Lauds The Cardinals' Defensive Plan

Prior to the game, Cardinals star Budda Baker claimed that the best way to limit Dak Prescott was by simply disguising coverages.

When asked about those comments, the gunslinger had no choice but to give the Cardinals credit for their game plan:

"They definitely did that," Prescott said. "I feel like every team I play does that more than they do (against) other guys, I guess you could say. It's just important for me to watch my film study and then see the post-snap. I think I did a solid job of it. They did a good job disguising, trying to show some blitzes and then got out of there, brought a couple of them. They did a good job of getting their hands up on some DB pressures, batting the ball down."

Prescott Says He's Not Discouraged By The Loss

Even so, Prescott didn't feel discouraged by his team's loss. If anything, it only boosted his confidence in his team's ability to bounce back:

"Not discouraged," the QB sentenced. "Definitely disappointed we didn't come away with the win, but damn sure not discouraged. I know the team we have, what we've got. Just simply didn't get it done as a team, starting with myself, (I've) got to be better. All of us, we've got to look at ourselves in the mirror and find a way to come out with a win in a game like this."

Dak Warns Cowboys Rivals

Prescott said that he and his teammate aren't afraid to go against any team or even play on the road, warning their future rival not to sleep on them:

"Whoever it is (we face in the playoffs), line them up. We'll play them here, we'll play them at their place, their backyard, wherever. I've got a lot of confidence in this team," Prescott said, per ClutchPoints.

Ironically, their rival might as well be the Cardinals, as both teams are 11-5 and would face off if the postseason started tomorrow.

Micah Parsons, Mac Jones Continue To Lead NFL Rookie Ladder

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 01:44 PM PST

With just one week left in the NFL regular season, we can already say that a couple of awards should be in the bag.

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady continue to lead the race for MVP, while Zac Taylor, Mike Vrabel, and Bill Belichick are all sound candidates to be named Coach of the Year.

When it comes to rookies, however, things aren't that clear, as we've seen some young players make an immediate impact and look like superstars in the making.

Here, we're going to talk about the best four of them.

4. Jaylen Waddle

Even though he hasn't been in the spotlight, Jaylen Waddle has had a rookie season for the ages.

Not only did he break the Miami Dolphins' rookie record for most receptions but he's also on pace to break Anquan Boldin's all-time record of 101.

The Alabama product has made an immediate adjustment to the league and has even made Tua Tagovailoa look competent from time to time.

He's got the hands, the route-running, and the speed to become a superstar, and not even Miami's pedestrian defense could hold him down.

3. Ja'Marr Chase

The Cincinnati Bengals faced plenty of criticism for using their first-round pick on a wideout instead of an offensive linesman and it only got worst when Ja'Marr Chase struggled with drops in the preseason.

Fast-forward to today and the doubters are pretty quiet.

Chase has proven to be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of talent, breaking Justin Jefferson's record for most receiving yards as a rookie (1,429) and becoming a legit threat to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

That connection with Joe Burrow translated perfectly to the NFL and they're going to be one of the funniest duos to watch for years to come.

2. Mac Jones

Mac Jones continues to lead the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

He helped his team end a 2-game skid by throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns, leading the offense en route to a 50-point explosion.

Jones broke the Patriots' record for most passing touchdowns by a rookie (20), a mark established by Jim Plunkett in 1971.

The rookie out of Alabama may not be the flashiest, most athletic guy out there but he makes up for it with top-notch IQ and sound decision-making.

1. Micah Parsons

And last but not least, we find the finest and most special rookie of this impressive class: Micah Parsons.

Parsons is having one of the greatest seasons by a defender, and we're not talking just about rookies.

Records aside, his ability to dominate both as an interior linebacker and as an EDGE rusher has given the Cowboys a dynamic weapon and a defensive anchor for at least another decade.

Already drawing comparisons to Lawrence Taylor, Parsons could join him as the only player to win both Defensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year on the very same season.

Becky Lynch defeated Liv Morgan at Day 1 on Saturday to retain her RAW Women's Championship. Following their match, Lynch was interviewed backstage.

Lynch was asked if she was caught off guard by how well Morgan did during the match. "The Man" did not appreciate the question.

"I'm caught off guard by this question. What do you mean caught off guard? I won, didn't I? I won," Lynch said. "I walked out there, did what I said I would do, said I would retain at Day 1 like I've retained since WrestleMania 35 when I was the first woman to win the main event of WrestleMania."

"I'm very happy I won, thank you, Sarah, that'll be all."

Scroll down to reveal Liv Morgan's reaction to losing at Day 1.

Liv Morgan Reacts To Loss To Becky Lynch At Day 1

Still, some people feel that Morgan should have won the match. Two WWE Hall of Famers have even spoken out to say they feel Morgan should be the new RAW Women's Champion. Scroll down to find out who those two WWE Hall of Famers are.

The Bella Twins Feel Liv Morgan Should Have Defeated Becky Lynch

Nikki and Brie Bella were watching Morgan wrestle Lynch at Day 1 on New Year's Day. They had been hoping that Morgan would have walked away from the event with the RAW Women's title wrapped around her waist.

The Bella Twins posted to Twitter, "Damn actually wanted to see Liv with the championship at the end! Amazing match!!! Hell of a finish! Great strength! Becky is a GOAT!"

It's not clear if Morgan and Lynch will face each other again in the near future. It appears Lynch may have a new title challenger in her sights. Scroll down to learn who that person is.

Becky Lynch Challenges Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix made her return to WWE at the Day 1 PPV. She made an unadvertised appearance during The Miz vs Edge match on the show. With Phoenix married to Edge, she came out to fend off Miz's wife Maryse who was attempting to interfere at ringside.

After Phoenix posted to social media regarding her return, Lynch responded in the comments asking Phoenix if she would like to fight sometime. Beth's response was to simply say that she is currently "busy", however.

Also following Day 1, Lynch once again ended up in a Twitter spat with Ric Flair. Scroll down to reveal what took place between the two.

Becky Lynch And Ric Flair Continue War Of Words

Ric Flair and Becky Lynch have been engaging in a war of words dating back to November. Following Day 1, Lynch posted a picture of herself with the hip-hop group Migos. She wrote "Next song is "Big Time Drip" in the post. This was a likely shot at the song "Ric Flair Drip" released by Offset in 2017.

This caused Flair to respond to Lynch on Twitter. In a since-deleted tweet, he wrote: "The Mood Is Night & Day! One's Real & One's Make Believe! She's Big Time, But There's No Drip, And There Never Will Be! And I Thought She Was THE MAN, But I Guess Not Because They Don't Own It! HA! When Are You Going To Give Up @BeckyLynchWWE? You're So Far Behind! WOOOOO!"

Pacers at Knicks [Jan 4] - NBA Predictions And Picks

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 12:44 PM PST

The struggling Indiana Pacers will try to put an end to their recent woes when they visit the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden.

Unfortunately, they're going to be severely undermanned in the clash against Tom Thibodeau's team, to make an already complicated season even worst.

Neither of these teams has been able to live up to the expectations and the Pacers are ready to hit the drawing board again, so facing them could be a big boost of motivation for the Knicks.

An Imminent Rebuild

The Pacers have reportedly made Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Caris LeVert all available in trade talks. While none of them is a superstar, they could all fetch big value in the trade market.

Indiana has struggled to keep up with the rest of the up-and-coming teams in the Eastern Conference amid another injury-riddled season, and they feel like it would be best for them to just go through a long-overdue rebuild. Expect them to be quite active near the deadline.

Will Kemba Walker Be Back In The Rotation?

Kemba Walker's benching has been one of the biggest stories of the season thus far. He was fairly disappointing during the first couple of weeks of the season but Thibodeau was forced to bring him back to action with most of their guards out due to Covid-19 protocols.

But now that both Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks are at full strength and ready to go, whether Thibodeau will continue to lean on the former Charlotte Hornets star remains to be seen.

Derrick Rose is expected to miss some more time, so there could be some minutes for him in the rotation, at least on paper.

Key Stats, Injuries, And Trends

According to Covers, the Knicks currently have the seventh-worst offense in the league at 104.7 points per game but they also boast the seventh-best defense at 105.7 points allowed per contest.

The Pacers, on the other hand, have the fourth-worst three-point shooting team in the league at 32.6% from beyond the arc.

To make things even worse, the visitors will be without Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon, TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Jeremy Lamb, Kelan Martin, TJ Warren, Isaiah Jackson, and Goga Bitadze for this game; while the Knicks will play without Wayne Selden, Kevin Knox, Derrick Rose, Julius Randle, Nerlens Noel, and Mitchell Robinson.

Picks For Pacers At Knicks

We're definitely going to be in for a low-scoring matchup between two bad offenses and a very good defensive team like the New York Knicks.

The Pacers will play without virtually any of their perimeter threats and they're not much of a good three-point shooting team anyway. The Knicks will lack any sort of rim protection and that could be a problem against Indy's talented bigs.

All things considered, both teams will be hard to trust from a point-spread standpoint but this game should go way below the total.

Gymnast Nastia Liukin Welcomes 2022 In Bikini

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 12:23 PM PST

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is stunning in her first bikini of 2022. The 31-year-old former athlete is out in Mexico for her New Year's celebrations this year, and she invited her 1.1 million Instagram followers along for the ride. While Liukin went super-classy in a sheer and fairytale-like Dior dress to welcome 2022, she was back in her bikini just one day later, this as she shared sun-drenched photos and reminded fans of her Gold Medal body.

Check out the photos and more below.

Hello, Cabo!

Scroll for the photos.

Nastia spent Christmas at her usual Montana cabin retreat, where it was all snow, tons of winter wear, plus idyllic outdoor snaps with dog Harley. Now, it's time for heat. The 2008 all-around champion posed outdoors and backed by palms as she highlighted her rock-hard abs and golden tan - fans saw her in a bandeau and metallic-clasp bikini with a high-waisted finish.

Nastia also sported a white Oxford shirt worn open as she went #Barbie - swipe for the pics below, scroll for more.

Also rocking metallic shades, a high ponytail, plus a frosted lip, the APL collaborator dropped a total of three shots - fans had to swipe to see full-length action as Nastia showcased her famous pins. "Sporty spice, but make it cabo," the gymnast wrote, gaining over 15,000 likes.

"Hello hottie," a fan quickly replied. Nastia had also gained plenty of likes for showcasing her fashionista edge in her Dior NYE dress. The designer lover, who fills her feed with Burberry or Chanel, sent French brand Dior love this year.

Definition Of Making It

Nastia, whose wins came in 2008, now has a lucrative entrepreneur and influencer career, and her gymnast one came against all odds.

"My entire career, I wasn't the standard gymnast type. I was taller, lankier, skinnier, didn't really have the muscle or the quickness or the speed or the power that you're really supposed to have," she told Forbes. "Yet I became an Olympic all-around gold medalist. A lot of odds were against me going in to the Olympics, and I wasn't the favorite to win."

Learning To Balance It All Out

The Dallas resident continued:

"I was not good at balancing my work life, my personal life, my family, and my relationships. If you spend too much time doing something, that other things take a beating, and vice-versa. I understand that when you're starting a new business, you don't have a team of employees working for you to whom you can delegate."

Nastia has a Volition beauty collab, her sell-out APL footwear collab, plus deals with brands including Olay, Revolve, and Dove beauty.

NBA Rumors: CJ McCollum To Warriors, Klay Thompson To Blazers In Suggested Blockbuster Trade

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 11:58 AM PST

The explosive backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum was undeniably the main reason behind the Portland Trail Blazers' success in the past seasons. However, in the years that they played together, their only greatest achievement was reaching the Western Conference Finals in 2019. With the team likely heading into another huge disappointment in the 2021-22 NBA season, some believe that the Trail Blazers will finally break the Lillard-McCollum tandem.

With Lillard still considered the face of the franchise, McCollum is likely the one to be traded if the Trail Blazers decided to choose.

CJ McCollum To Golden State Warriors

In a recent article, Joe Capraro of Fansided's Rip City Project created a list of trades that would send McCollum to California teams. These include a hypothetical blockbuster trade that would enable McCollum to join the Golden State Warriors before the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

In the proposed trade scenario, the Warriors would be sending a package that includes Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Otto Porter Jr. to the Trail Blazers in exchange for McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, Robert Covington, and Anfernee Simons.

Replacing Klay Thompson With CJ McCollum

The proposed blockbuster deal with the Trail Blazers would make sense for the Warriors if Thompson had another setback to his recovery. Swapping him for a healthy McCollum would give the Warriors a better chance of fully dominating the loaded Western Conference and winning the NBA championship title this season. McCollum may not be as good as Thompson, but he's capable of filling the hole that he would be leaving at the Warriors' starting shooting guard position.

With McCollum, the Warriors would be pairing Stephen Curry with another All-Star caliber shooting guard who is an elite three-point shooter and could excel on the court with or without the ball in his hands.

Warriors Improve Depth

McCollum isn't the only player that the Warriors would be acquiring from the Trail Blazers. They would also be receiving two veterans, Nurkic and Covington, and young and promising talent Simons. Nurkic would give the Warriors an experienced center who would serve as a mentor and primary backup for sophomore big man James Wiseman.

With Covington, the Warriors would get a three-and-D wingman who could join McCollum, Curry, Wiseman, and Andrew Wiggins in the starting lineup. Simons may still be young, but he could provide an impact to the Warriors' second unit.

Why The Trail Blazers Would Make The Trade

The potential deal would undeniably decrease the Trail Blazers' level of competitiveness this season, but it would benefit them in the long run. Once he regains 100% health and returns to his All-Star form, Thompson could form a more formidable frontcourt duo with Lillard in Portland. Aside from giving them another explosive scorer, a healthy Thompson could also help the Trail Blazers address their major weakness on the defensive end of the floor.

In addition to Thompson, the Trail Blazers would also be acquiring the assets they need should they finally decide to undergo a full-scale rebuild.

Russell Westbrook Fires Back At The Haters, Says He Won't Limit Turnovers

Posted: 03 Jan 2022 11:04 AM PST

Throughout his entire career in the NBA, the Russell Westbrook experience has been a bit of a roller coaster.

He can either put his team on his back with a 30-point triple-double or go 3/16 from the field with 12 turnovers. There's no in-between.

That lack of consistency and adjustments has made him one of the most volatile and discussed players of all time, and Los Angeles Lakers fans seem far from pleased with what he's given them during his first year with the team.

Westbrook Says He's Allowed To Turn The Ball Over

Westbrook has led the NBA in turnovers four times in his career and would be the leader in that department again this season if the campaign ended now.

He's fourth all-time in total turnovers and holds the highest turnover-per-game average in NBA history (4.1).

Yet, he doesn't think it's that big of a deal:

"My game is not predicated on shots or if I turn the ball over," Westbrook said, per ClutchPoints. "Like, if I miss some shots, that's part of the game. I'm allowed to miss shots. I can do that. Like any other player, I can do that. I can turn the ball over, too. I can do that. That's all a part of the game."

LeBron Defends Westbrook

But even despite his antics and seemingly careless attitude, LeBron James still has his back.

The King says that Westbrook should get plenty of credit for their offense, even though he got off to a rocky start:

"His presence on the floor helps us," LeBron said after the game. "Obviously, he was kicking himself a lot tonight with his turnovers, especially in the first half. Cleaned it up in the second half — he only had two in the second half. It resulted in us being able to get shots. When we get shots, we're a really good team. What has really hurt us a lot this year is when we've turned it over a lot, and not being able to set our defense … Us being able to take care of the ball in the second half was key to us getting this win tonight … and the ball's in his hands a lot."

Insider Says Westbrook Isn't A Superstar

Westbrook went from being the all-time leader in triple-doubles and a former MVP to a guy most scouts think of as a liability.

Recently, NBA insider Zach Lowe went as far as to say that he shouldn't be considered a superstar in this league anymore:

"I think it's just time to call a spade a spade," Lowe said on his podcast, as quoted by Lakers Daily. "Russ is not a superstar, whatever your definition of a superstar is. And when I hear that word, what I hear is 'could make an All-NBA team this year' kind of player. Russ just isn't that player anymore."

The Lakers Need A Turnaround

Whether you think Westbrook is a superstar or not is not for us to debate right now. But it's clear that the Lakers need another player who could efficiently take the pressure off LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Westbrook will put up plenty of points and big numbers but that doesn't always translate to wins, so we expect Rob Pelinka to be quite active on the phone as the trade deadline zooms in. However, moving his contract will be nearly impossible.
