Observing the nuances of everyday dressing in the brand’s Meatpacking District neighborhood, designer Jennie McCormick noted how the clothes blurred the distinction between day and night. In the showroom, she pointed to a dress with special detailing on the back and bias seams that flowed elegantly to the floor. “It could be worn around the city with a pair of sandals, but dressed up for an event at night,” she said. “One thing about the Rag & Bone woman is that she’s irreverent and she wears her dress because she just loves it.”
Matching sets have become a staple of the Rag & Bone wardrobe, and for pre-fall McCormick and co. offered some fun new takes. A mulberry silk utility tank and pants combo looked easy-wearing, while the printed organza set will give the R&B customer a dressed-up option without much effort.
