Teddi Mellencamp is updating fans on the latest change in her stage 4 cancer journey.

"Essentially, I haven't been feeling good for about a month," the TV star and daughter of musician John Mellencamp said during her latest episode of Two Ts in a Pod, "which was kind of shocking to me, and I think, mentally did a lot to me, because I was like, 'What do you mean? I felt so good right after the surgeries, and then when I was having radiation and immunotherapy, I was feeling good, so why am I not able to do this right now? Why do I feel like I can barely open my eyes and keep my words straight?'"

She said that, because of the way she was feeling, she got an "emergency appointment" with her doctors to look into the root cause, and they learned that "the longer that I'm on immunotherapy, the sicker it is making me."

Teddi continued, "So what the doctors have decided to do for me, because this immunotherapy has hit me so incredibly hard, they did a bunch of scans and everything is looking good, everything is shrinking...but it is showing that why I medically feel so sick is from the immunotherapy, so we are going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger."

In the meantime, Teddi shared her doctors still have her on steroids and "we're doing everything we can to get me back to feeling like I can do this, I can do all the things."

She added that the revelation was a major development in her cancer journey.

"The hardest thing for me has been kind of the wake-up call, 'Wow, I can't do what I did yesterday,' or, 'Wow, I can't do what I did three weeks ago,'" she said.

This latest update comes after Teddi shared in June on Two Ts in a Pod that her immunotherapy treatments had been so successful in beating back the growth of her tumors and that there were no plans to cease them.

"It's stage 4 until it's gone, until I'm in remission," she said, indicating that her doctors planned for her to stay on immunotherapy for at least two more years.

Since 2022, Teddi has been dealing with melanoma off and on, but in February she got the news that she had stage 4 melanoma, and it metastasized to her brain and lungs. At one point, Teddi revealed she was given 50/50 odds of survival, but in April, she excitedly shared that her brain tumors "have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this all will work, and I will be back to myself and feeling good."

Teddi was a cast member on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from seasons 8-10 between 2017 and 2020, and later returned as a guest on seasons 11, 12, and 13.
