Designer Jacques Azagury had known Princess Diana for a decade when she died, and says that, when he was working with her on what would become their final collaboration in August 1997, she was "the best and happiest I had ever seen her." This final collaboration—which the Princess of Wales planned to wear to a Disney film premiere in September, had she lived to see it—was to be the most risque of the boundary-pushing dresses Azagury designed for Diana towards the end of her short life, which have come to be collectively known as the Famous Five.
