Influencer Dies at 34 After Getting Hit by Speedboat Shortly Before Wedding Day
Surfer and influencer Javiera Ortiz was killed at age 34 in a speedboat accident that occurred on the coast of Chile on Feb. 21. Following the fatal incident, local news outlet 24 Horas reported that Ortiz – who had over 63,000 followers on Instagram — sustained a number of injuries when the fishing vessel hit her at Rinconada Beach in the coastal town of Cobquecura. She was quickly transferred for emergency medical attention, the Chilean site added, though Ortiz was soon confirmed dead.
